Bosh is still a elite PF in the NBA. When you're team is crap though it brings down your level of play sometimes.
If Yao& the gang ever make it past the 1st round or better yet, win the whole thing, it will be an achievement with epic proportion, one that will inspire generations to come about the struggles of one gentle giant who met adversities head on and never lost his dignity or his courage! OK, I know it sounds a little cheesy but for some reasons, I really feel sorry for Yao tonight!
I believe it. I've seen enough of how Yao is treated by the refs from countless games over the years. Besides being an Asian man, they probably don't want Yao to succeed because he is from communist China. Watching the Suns-Lakers game on Sunday, I saw Shaq karate chopp a Lakers defender with his left hand while laying it up with his right. No f'in way would Yao get away with that. The NBA is the most biased professional sports league in the country, possibly the world. It sometimes rivals the WWE. If not for my love of the game and the sweet moves, I would just watch mixed martial arts and football from now on.
Great game. Scola and Landry were big and just too much for the Raptors weak big men. My only problem were the officials. Yao was fouled almost all the time but the minute he pushed back, they call a offensive foul on him. Anyway, we are tied for third place now. Utah, you're next.
Bench AB, start Lowry. Hope AB bounce back tomorrow......wait, he will play against DW tomorrow.Ok, bench AB, start Lowry.
You shouldn't feel sorry for them. Their bigs don't play in the paint and live and die by the jumpshot. Jose had 16 dimes because he just throws it out on the perimeter and someone jacks it up. I'm almost baffled at how soft they are. When Bosh drives to the basket (during those rare instances) he shies away from contact, even from people smaller than him. A tough player (like Scola) would try to initiate that contact and draw the foul, or a beast like Landry throws it down with authority, foul or no. The Toronto Raptors are shameful and should be demoted to the WNBA, where they might have a shot if the playoffs. (Barring injuries...to other WNBA teams)
Good win, and some points come from this game: 1. more mins to Lowry; 2. PnR by Brooks and Scola is really good; 3. Yao get more fouls when fight against fronting; to have a better soluton; 4. When opposite team have two bigs, try to use Landry with Yao to protect boards; 5. Battier need shoot more.
i wish we, the fans, could do something about the poor officiating on yao. because i know die hard clutchfans like us would if there was something we could do.
Wow, good win tonight. It didn't look good at the beginning, but our guys hung in there and fought back hard.
