You're right. It will be an inspiration to us all, and a hidden, underground, inspirational, teaching, story, for the ages. In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with what is cheesy or trite, as long as it is Good, like Star Wars 4,5, and 6
Getting to the finals is something.. Hell, that would be a dream right now if the Rox can make it there..
Why bring this up, dude is banking and girls would pay to sleep w/ kobe... No need for him to rape anyone. Just because he was convicted doesn't mean we know what actually happened. So quit assuming... And its dumb to flat out say "short sightedness and shallow thinking of the Chinese." You are asking to be hated.
Don't forget the scorekeepers too, who are undercounting Yao on blocks, rebounds, and who knows what else.
I believe that is incorrect. I think that most of them are trolls who pose as Chinese people to give their posts more legitimacy, credibility, and authority.
I don't see why that should matter? I highly doubt Andrew Bogut's jersey is the top selling NBA player's jersey in Australia =/
As mentioned during the broadcast: congrats to Yao for moving into sixth place on the Rockets’ all-time scoring list, reaching 8,831 career points. -- Regarding the officiating towards Yao. I understand it's frustrating to watch, but the overall tempo of today's game is faster. Big men in general are called less. In the short term, Rox should try to figure out how to work with the hand they're dealt. * In tonight's game, when help defenders leaves for Yao, Scolandry punished the Raptors by aggressively attacking the paint. The Rockets also did not just rely on kick outs to perimeter shooting, which sometimes leads to a false sense of security. * Yao is an excellent low post player, but sometimes he's too reliant on establishing a low post position in order to score the ball. As Hubie Brown often say, sometimes big men are *too comfortable* with their back to the basket. I don't think Yao wants his offense to be predictable. His susceptibility to turnovers is amplified against aggressive smart defenders and Violet Palmer. A little more dribbling and mid-range shooting into his game. * Mid range, Yao used to have range in his rookie year. We know he's able to shoot from the free throw line. Opponents usually don't cover Yao when he's in the high-post. Scola and Landry makes opponents pay on numerous occasions for their slacking D. Yao doesn't need to stretch the D like Okur or Bargani, but he should take all his shots in the low post. * Triple threat stance and Dribbling. bbal fundamental. Doesn't need to dribble like Nash or jab-step and slash like Iverson, but Yao should improve his dribbling. Keep the ball high, expand his 1-2 step dribble to 2-3 steps. Relating to referring... penetrators get foul called much more often then stationary players. Yao may not blow by his defender, but his height, footwork and improved dribbling, should make it work.
It's impossible for one person to know all the 1.3 billion Chinese people in the world. So the poster was either presumptuous or careless in sending out sweeping statements like "the Chinese are too pathetic to rise up...", "the short-sightedness and shallow thinking of the Chinese" and "pessimistic view of the Chinese". That's a shortcoming of compiling electronic messages through keyboard typing - you type and are anxious to get your points across without reviewing them. Even if you do not mean what you have written but once you punch the "Submit Reply" key you are bound to receive different reactions from other posters.
