how the heck is T-Mac holding Jermaine Taylor from playing when T-Mac only plays only 7minutes? (7 MINUTES)
Wow... Chase is a STEAL!!! great move by the rockets to acquire him! Oh and Great to see Tmac back, he didn't disrupt anything with his 8 min on the court and his jump shot looks nice.
Man we are a deep team if we play like this throughout the season...If buddinger plays bad hopefully TMac will step up or Ariza. If TMac or Ariza is playing bad Chase will step up and it ll be a trend. Andersen is playing better as well. I like what i see.
Better part is that he did this in front of the team that drafted him originally and traded him away. Thank you Detroit! p.s. Great to see T-Mac back! Hope he can be a major contributor to this team if he is not traded.
i must say i like ariza but cbud is producing so much better when he started 2night. i think cbud needs 2 start
First off, it was great to see T-Mac back on the court. As much as the article by Clutch made me remember the Toronto debacle from last year and got me angry all over again, I have to admit it was good to see him back on the court. Here is the problem I saw tonight...T-Mac was never able to keep up when the Rockets pushed the ball tonight. I know he is still not in 100% game shape. I'm just concerned(I know it has been brought up on here several times) that he will slow down the Rockets break even after he gets in better shape.
as much as i still dislike tmac i must say for 7minutes of action he did good for himself. i am glad to see him get back into the game. when yao does come bck its gonna be 1 hell of a team we got
Its amazing that we are so deep that we are so deep that we can play mac only 8 minutes and Shane less the 30 and miss Ariza and still win.
Yet when T-mac was in the game, Rockets went on a 9-0 or 11-0 run....you can run an uptempo game as long as you have 2-3 players committed to the speed. T-mac's value will be in the 4th quarter, where defense is going to tighten up and not allow teams to run and you are forced to run a half-court offense. Plus against bad teams (in this case, they missed Ben Gorden) will make any team look good.
The difference is that with Yao on the court you can slow down and still be productive in the half-court because of the inside presence. With T-Mac on the court(and no Yao) they r gonna have a much harder time getting quality shots. I just don't see T-Mac demanding the double teams, that will make every1(especially Ariza spotting up/not creating) else better around him, anytime soon.
what is killing ariza is that he is trying to hard to be what mcgrady was supposed to be. An allstar shooting guard who could create for himself and the team. That definately is not Ariza's game.
ok, somehow I am worried about tomorrow's game. Hope we can get some good rest and be ready in Denver........
But that was his whole reasoning for coming to houston. To take the next step in his game. I think he will get there and hope for the best for him. I hope one day he can elevate his game in the playoffs just like Tracy can. Man tonight has been a good night. T-Mac coming back, semester of college done, and most importantly a Rockets win!
i think you will be disappointed. he's shooting less than 40% right now, that's rafer alston numbers. Look how many times we (I especially) hoped that rafer had turned things around when he went on a hot streak, but it never lasted.
