I didn't see this game and I don't know what to say about it. 9 point win...89% free throws, 10 more turnovers than the other team, 89% free throws, and scored 107 even though McGrady only contributed 6 points. Hmm...me thinks the Rockets are doing well. But doh! It's the Heat, so this means nothing!

I concur. Yao is coming off an injury just as well and needs to rest especially since the last few games he tends to be winded more. 37 minutes today compared to the 32 he was supposed to play.

My sig says what I mean, as long as we make the PO's I'll take the L's as long as Yao got the proper rest but down the road wins with injuries isnt worth it. It not like when Battier comes back Yao's minutes will go down?!

Miami if not any other team is the best team to play our PF's at the C position. No excuse.

The game plan in offense was changed since the game vs. Wizards, 80% JVG inside-out plus 20% Princeton offense, right?

This was one of the better games the Rockets have played all year. TMac wasn't a factor, but the offense looked somewhat fluid. Encouraging. Yao should have had a good game and he did.

If the Rockets lost, you would not hear the end of it. I would be wise to check the boxscore before I come to cluch forums during a loss. This crowd will not hesistate to trade your ass! Or at least, make threads about threading you. :p

Can someone point me to the complaint line for Yao playing to many minutes?

    Thanks

Good offensive game, and great on the glass. However, the turnover almost cost the game. Need to fix that.

The way they were using Yao today was like the way they used to use Snack O'neal when the lakers made their dynasty. Toss it into the post, pass it out, repost deeper. It really puts pressure on the defense and opens things up. About time someone figured it out. Maybe cause now we got less selfish players, i.e. Barry, Scola, Ron....even Tmac is joining in. Ride the big fella!!

Don't ride the big fella too hard. Yao was exhausted today in the middle of the fourth quarter. RA has to monitor Yao's minutes better.

This is a 82-game season. We need our Big 3 for the post-season.

dwade feeling tracy's pain with his knee

    http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/6130807.html

Tracy McGrady’s dilemma might be challenging, but it is not unique.

With McGrady still toying with the idea of “shutting it down” to let his sore left leg get stronger, Heat guard Dwyane Wade said Monday that he knows just how McGrady feels.

“Déjà vu,” said Wade, who battled back from injuries last season. “Same thinking that I was going through last year, especially with that knee, that muscle’s not strong in that quad. Some days it feels good, some days it doesn’t. And over the course of the game, in some games it’s going to feel good in the beginning, in some late in the games.

“So it’s a tough decision for a guy that sees a team that he wants to be out there playing with, a team that can possibly compete for a championship. He wants to be out there. But, at the end of the day, he’s going to have to make the best decision for the team and whatever decision he makes, hopefully is best for him, for his health.”

Wade played in 51 games last season, never seeming to be consistently at full strength until the Olympics in August.

“It’s very tough (to decide whether to play), especially you look at the season right now,” Wade said. “It’s not like they’re 12-2, when he can sit it out for a little while. They’re a couple of games, three games over .500, something like that. It’s tough. You want all your guns when a team has not jelled yet and you know that you’re a huge part of it, he’s a huge part of that offense, it’s very tough.”

    Great win!

But Scola, PLEASE, work on being able to finish stronger around the basket. (broken record)... if you don't that weakness will come back to bite you and the Rockets come playoff time. It's costing the team 4-6 points a game.

Of course, so are Rafer's floaters, Brooks and others bad passes... etc.

... still a work in progress. But that means even brighter days if you'll work to eliminate your weaknesses. Free throws are much improved so far this season. Just take them (weaknesses) one at a time and iron them out.

Heck, if each player could eliminate little mistakes the team might be averaging 8-10 points more per game. ;)
