Dwhistle cheated, he shouldn't have got all the free throws he got. Anyways, great win for the Rockets, Olajuwon-like night for Yao.
WTF is going on in Rick GEnius Adelman's mind......... is he trying to let soft Yao to get injured again FIRED Adelman like what the Washington WIZARDS did on EDDIE SUCKER JORDAn
I think everyone needs to resign themselves to the fact that mcgrady is the walking dead right now. To me, anything he does in a game is a bonus.
Phew....thank god we won. Yao abused their frontline as expected. Execution was sloppy on our end, but we got the ball inside to Yao and the other players hit the open shots he created. It's about damn time. Hustle was good by Luis and Carl too, as always. Tonight's George Hill award tentatively goes to Mario Chalmers. Look, I know he's going to have a good career in the long run, but the fact remains that he's still a rookie struggling to hit shots. We let him hit open jumpers, swarm our passing lanes, and dish out six assists with zero turnovers. This is a guy we should easily keep in check, but instead he goes off for twenty points. These Jason Terry type points are starting to piss me off.
We are flexible and deep team. Used to be Yao and Tmac both need to play well in order to beat tough teams at their gym. I am really encouraged by our role players. Now the negative is way too many turnovers. Miami is no slouch in the east this year, so this is a good win.
Glad we got the win, obviously, but the turnovers are unacceptable. More often than not, you have that many and you're going to lose. Still, we're 10-5 and the sky hasn't fallen, which anyone reading this board a few days ago would have thought was happening.
Depth is supposed to be one of our strengths....certainly worked tonight. Who cares what TMac did/didn't. All of the Rockets got a W tonight.
Huh, seems we are getting clutcher by the game. ...I'll live with the turnovers if the Rockets can get good shooting percentages up there, I mean you're bound to get a crapload of TOs going through Yao, but a lot of points as well.
Oh, I thought Artest did a real good job on Wade. I can't wait to see Battier returns. I think our perimeter D is going to be dominant. I can't wait to see we shut down Kobe and that punk "machine" Sasha.
Exactly. I like RA's time management tonight. He gave Yao time to rest whenever Yao showed tiredness, even in the last five minutes. He also put TMac on the bench in crunch time. BTW, Artest seemed to be really clutch, at least in recent games. He made those one-on-one jumpers in late games.
lol @ this, hahaha anyways, Yao's stamina will continue to be a big issue if we are not going to sign any solid 7' back up centers. he pwned the heat in the 3rd but is really exhausted in 4th. he should not be play anything more than 33min per game. Ron is the silent contributor today, he locked down D-wade in 1st half and did many small things on both ends, steals and big shots, he is da warrior! Alston/Brooks, although they hit some shots but most of the shot selections are terrible, especially Rafer, he seemed to be out of his mind with YAO/T-mac on the bench, he helped the heat to get like, what , 5 blocks? Brooks still need to work on his passing skills. Landry doing good late. Scola got his share but burned by Beasley at the 1st half, maybe we should put Chuck there with Yao to limit Beasley-type PFs while we have our trio on court? that way we have better D.
I hope you never get Member status, otherwise the GARM is going to be overflowing with "YAO IS THE GREATEST...EVERYONE ELSE SUCKS" threads from now until eternity.
to sweep an east coast road trip is a great momentum and morale booster. This team is learning by playing hard and WiNNING! I don't believe i morale victories, just W's in the win column. Great Trip!
