great effort, but like someone said before, rebounds killed us. didnt see the entire game but in the first half, Pistons were getting so many second chance shots.

btw has anyone noticed that Yao some times goes really close to the hoop when rebounding, and just ends up tipping the ball away when he reaches behind him..

Really? If anything the moves he did made me doubt him even more. We're miles apart in talent level, the fact that this went to double is due to coach's poor performance.

That 3 by Afflalo in the first overtime was pretty darned big.

If Detroit doesnt hit some tough shots in the end of regulation or overtime and you dont have a 2OT game.

Pistons only shot 39%, but had 99 FGA

Rockets shot a very good 50%, but only had 86 FGA

This was due to horrible rebounding, we let them get way too many offensive boards, therefore way too many second or third shot opportunities!!!

The importance of Landry to this team is really understated.
Landry, I hope you get well soon! Chuck Hayes is a scrub and Deke apparently sexed RA's mom so RA won't play him no matter what.

Also, FEED YAO THE ****ING DAMN ****ING BALLL ARGHHHH *RAGE*.

Finally, Rockets are the only team that can have a 102-92 lead with 1:39 to go in 2OT and somehow let it wittle away to 102-99 in 75 seconds. Pure poise. Oh well, hopefully they LEARN from this and perform better in clutch situations in the playoffs.

Co-sign. This and many other threads are the type of stuff that could easily be put in the post-game discussion thread. I'm not big on making new threads, but a lot of people are way too quick to make new threads about every little thing.

Landry would have helped a lot on the boards

I give the Pistons a lot of credit for hustling and losing their best player along with their most important post player.

Though, Sheed probably does hurt them a lot more than he helps them at times. Sheed could have came through big and defend Yao pretty well. Luckily he didn't play. :D

This team still need to practice how to set up play when it comes to running clock down. Why can't they set up Yao again???

This team need to learn how to inbound the ball to your best free throw shooters during crucial time. It's like they let other team dictate who they want at the line...that's not a good sign if you want to take advantage of your opponent.

This team consistently letting other teams getting 2nd chance shots...it's not because they don't box out..it's something else. This is a seriously problem and the Detroit team exploit that...that is the ONLY reason why Detroit stay in this game or have any chance.

FINALLY Rick put Lowry in to play defense during crucial time. I appreciated that...but he should not have taken Yao out. Yao presence inside prevent them from penetrating. WHy take Yao out?? So they can score easily with layups?? Dumb strategy and i am tired of saying the same shyt every game because Rick Adelman keep doing the same shyt and it's hurting the team. I mean i can understand if the other team is looking to take advantage of Yao by pick n roll and shoot 3 ...but they're not looking to shoot 3, they're looking to penetrate. Who's better in this ****ing league by preventing penetration than Yao?? Seriously..wake the **** up and stop taking Yao out!!!

Since when? He might be your hero. But if he plays this way at the end of the games, we won't go too far in playoff. He doesn't follow the plays called. He just wants to take the last shot no matter how hard the shot is. He sure has the courage to do it. But someone has to tell him that his name is not Kobe.

Gave away too many offensive boards...that almost killed us. cant believe we had to have 2 ots too beat a team like this...

This one was on YAO. He did not seem to just recover from flu at all. Anyway, please rest him next game. If we can't win over Wolves without Yao, we dont deserve to pass the first round.

i don't want to talk about Ron's offense which is  +

I was pissed off by his defense: he seemed indifferent in several important occasions

Fortunately for us, we are only going to be playing 4 games in next 2 weeks. So Landry having to sit out for few weeks will not be too bad (assuming that he'll be able to come back in 2 wks.) We'll be playing Minnesota, SA, Utah, and Clippers. We should win against Minnesota and Clippers. If we win at least one between Utah and SA, I would be happy (especially if we win against SA).

Lowry did nothing in OTs. He has a -11 +/- stat.

if anything, Adelman should not bring in Lowry in 1st OT. Stuckey is Brooks' b****.

Very fortunate to get this win. I thought the Pistons outplayed and out hustled the Rockets for most of the night even though they were trailing for the majority of the game. In addition to Yao's great performance tonight, Ron's defensive effort was probably the other deciding factor of the game. He absolutely shut down Prince.
