There was one moment when Washington had two guys all over Yao and he just looked over them to find the open man, it was like they weren't even there.

didn't even ****ing watch the game?

if it weren't yao posting up and passing out the ball with accuracy, t-mac wouldn't have those open 3s.

the player of the game is yao , second place landry. t-mac did what he was supposed to do, spread the floor and hit open shots.

exactly, what we have there is another box score, highlight watching opinion.

for the first 3 quarters yao got the pts but didnt really do much for anyone else.......then in the 4th, it's like the wizards changed their game plan for no reason, allowed yao to catch in the post rather easily (or maybe yao worked harder to get position) and yao went to work on his own and getting his hockey assists.

i mean 9 of t-mac's 4th quarter points, came from double teams on yao who kicked out to alston or artest, who then made the extra pass to mcgrady.

Man, you ask too much from Yao. Health is the most important for this team. We should play more efficiently. The 30-40% hit of our two so called stars should make some change, "yes, we can". :D

we really need to get rid of one of our big men, for even a bigger man, then we'll be good to go. I like the mcgee guy, he showed some good athleticism.

That was weird because one of the guys doubling was Juan frickin' Dixon. I donno wtf they were thinking doubling Yao with a guy of his size >_>

Artest's not starting the 2nd half was due for the most part to his foul situation. However I think he should come off the bench. It seems to me that he can adapt to playing with Yao or TMac, but not while both are on the court together. I would invision Adelman rotating Yao, TMac, Battier and Artest.

    I was at the game!

I got to shake Rafer's hand afterwards and I got waves from T-Mac and Shane!

I'll make a thread with pics soon.

How was it? Please do so.

I'm glad you got to see a good finish by the team. It must have been tough for a while there. :p

I loved the dunk by Yao!! He seems to be playing better these days, even athletically. It looks like he's gotten some of his lift back.

He's also making better decisions with the ball. He's not as turnover prone as he was in years past. He's become patient now, as all the greats learned at some point in their careers.

yao dominated today, but it's just one game so far this year that he has done that.

and his lift is still not there b/c he couldn't grab any rebounds.

but if you are right, then we might witness the emergence of an all-time big man. if not, he's still really good.

I like the win as well as anyone but I think it masked Rafer's extremely craptastic game and our serious lack of depth. Man what was Rafer thinking, setting himself up for so many shots? Who the hell does he think he is, Tmac? He should only get a max of 5 shots for the entire game IMHO, and only get more if he's on his hot streak.

And what happened to Brent Barry and Von Wafer? Weren't they supposed to be a huge part of our "deep" bench? Brent was supposed to be one of the league's most accurate 3 pt shooters, but he hasn't had one good shooting game since the start of the season. Not only that Wafer must have been taking shooting lessons from him, since he started to stink it up the last few games as well. Thank god for Landry and Brooks. Hopefully Shane gets back soon so we can move either him or Artest to the bench and have a pretty solid 9 man rotation (along with Chuck hayes) :D

The first 3 quarters scared the living hell out a me...Thank goodness for Aaron Brooks and Landy with their awesome contributions. And how about Yao in the last quarter. Everything was going through him in the last 6 or so minutes and because of that he spread the floor and there was t-mac for the 3's. He got in his rythm and was unstoppable.

Seriously (maybe an overused word here), Alston needs to go. His play against the Wizards, one of the worst teams in the NBA, was a key factor in causing us to fall behind. How many PGs do you know who can't make a freaking LAYUP? PGs at any level!! High school point gaurds all make layups. This guy is absolutely terrible.

He can't shoot. He can't finish in the lane (even uncontested). Remember when he was stuffed by the rim last night? He really isn't a great passer. The only thing we does well is dribble. He *must* be one of the worst starting PGs in the NBA. Surely we can find someone better.

Rafer knows the system. Surely there must be a reason why highly-regarded NBA coaches JVG and Rick Adelman used and are using him as their starting PG. Hmm.

And besides, Morey didn't feel that he had to replace Alston anytime soon, meaning there must be a positive statistical reason pertaining to him playing with our stars.
