Similar sentiments here but how rare is it to see a double-double from Shane and an 18 assist outing from anybody? I can let it pass this one time.

We really need to move Jordan Hill into the starting C spot. We just can't move forward with Chuck Hayes. Hill either has to bring game or be traded.

The thing i'm excited about is Lowry and Brooks playing together. they can really do some damage. Lowry setting up Brooks and vice versa. with those two, we can get a lot of penetration and wide open shots. both these players can shoot, assuming lowry keeps up his form..

Kyle Lowry is good enough to be our starting PG. The problem is, so is Aaron Brooks. You have to look at which one compliments the players around him more.

But I will say.. our offense sure isn't struggling for having such a "bad shooter" starting at PG for us.

Can't wait to see Williams take the ball to the basket instead of Chase being a softie.

Lowry/martin together can do more damage on most nights than AB/Lowry before 4th quarter. That's why Martin should start, but AB might finish.

I love watching games like this. Sure, it was the Grizzlies, but I'll end up watching this again. Martin and Lowry are starting to look like a hell of a pair. I'm having a hard time picturing Kyle coming off the bench right now. If Martin keeps shooting like this and going to the line, he's going to be a top ten scorer soon enough.

A perimeter of Lowry, Brooks, and Martin would likely be too porous defensively, but it would put up the points and run.

Hill was bad on offense but he had 4 blocks.. for me this is important because we have no legit shot blocking options other than Jordan.

He needs to step in and start at 5, we need his length, play chuck at PF with the 2nd unit.

Chase must be thinking he's on borrowed time, the slump continues and T-Will is in town

Give the guy a break! He's played 5 minutes in the NBA.. I think he deserves at least 10 before we can call him timid. ;)

im glad once again to have the "Yao" stuff behind us. I think him coming back put the team in an awkward mode of slight-rebuilding game plans around him... and although it may have turned out wonderfully, but it wasnt starting well (tho a 5-pt loss to LA in their home-opener, and a OT loss to Spurs in SA was in those first losses...)

now hes no longer coming back, and its the good ol backs-against-the-wall mentality for our underdogs again. We're apt to see a lot more fight, and though we probably wont play toooooo far above .500, we'll be winning a lot more of those close games because now everyone has a bigger role and a tighter bond.

    good win tonight, GO ROCKETS!

oh the bench just sucked, and Memphis evenly played us for a half. ANY NBA team can get sucked into mediocrity when you CONSTANTLY have a 30-pt lead. This is the NBA, no one barely ever gets blown out by 50... theyre all professionals and just too good.

I admit, I felt like "awwwww crap, here it comes" but our guys held them off at every turn. They didnt have a chance at all of coming back, because even when our shots werent falling, the D and intensity remained at a high level. I've seen the best teams in the NBA this year lose big leads to lesser teams, that doesnt mean theyre not playoff bound.

So I'm watching the game on DVR and can't help but laugh at...

Early in the 1st Lowry sets for his first 3 pointer.

A Grizzlies player (no. 9) is waving a towel and talking trash to Kyle while he shoots.

Lowry buries the 3 and stares the **** out of the player while the player laughs and has a seat....very funny.

Patterson isn't seeing minutes because he is going to be moved before February and I don't think the Rockets believe he is ready to be showcased.

    Just a though.

Lowry stayed in the game because he played great defense. The best argument for him being a started is so he can bring defense to our backcourt with K Mart. Brooks is a professional and is going to have to learn to play with the second unit and help them score.

Budinger is playing for his long-term security here in Houston. If T Will's athleticism shines, Budinger can be packaged with PPat, AB, Jeffries, NY Picks, & TE (plus Yao's acquired TE) to land us a superstar or high draft picks in February.

Lastly, anyway wanting Marc Gasol is a fool. He looked horrible today and has absolutely no agility. Also, does he hate Scola? He was going at it all game with Luis.
