Why are we looking back 5 games? Why not all of December where he is averaging 8.6 assists? But come one, that doesn't even matter. Because the only thing old and tired about this argument, is that it is becoming clearer and clearer that there isn't an argument. I never said he can average 18 assists a game. I said no backup PG can put up 18 assists, even if it is only for one game. You don't have to even look at his career game tonight. Just look at his entire body of work since starting. He is just too good to keep on the bench. Anyways, I am only wasting my breath because I am assuming eventually you will be able to see it, being a ROCKETS fan and all, not a fan of any individual players. Somehow I think stubbornness will get in the way I am guessing.
I see how well he is playing, and I love it. And honestly, I can't wait to see him and Brooks on the floor balling together. DD
Not to be that tinfoil hat guy, but all of a sudden DM is singing Pat's praises and making a big deal about him getting called up. He brought up PP without being asked by Bill or Clyde. Like he wants to hype his value for a potential trade.
There was this Ramon Sessions guy on the Milwaukee Bucks. Gets picked up for a minimum and then starts collecting these +10 assists games like crazy. Even got 24 once.. Then he is signed to a starting role and vanishes from the face of the earth.. But otherwise, I agree. But I think we need to start shopping one of them. There is no reason to pay both of them when we'll be a borderline playoff team
Forgot about him, but you get my point. Good thing Lowry is already signed, to a steal of a contract just like Scola. So no fear of a dropoff.
No argument about that. I just answered you when you said that there is NO backup who can do that. But since you're at it, Ramon Sessions had 24 assists in his rookie year http://www.nba.com/games/20080414/CHIMIL/boxscore.html You may say that he eventually became starter but where is he now? 3rd string pg behind Mo-Will and Boobie Gibson.
yeah thats why i said he needs to keep doing it...it's been about 9 games so far, since two of those games were against memphis, which always lights a fire in him, then its an even smaller sample size.
Back to this game.....as that is what this THREAD is about. Rox defense tonight was amazing, the entire first half the team was great. Their defense set the tone for a lot of transition baskets, at one point it was 40-13..... Wonderful to see, they were playing hard, best game of the year, IMO. DD
At least we can move forward with some semblance of an identity. Hello 47 wins and a #8 seed. Its going to be interesting how Adelman handles allocating minutes between Brooks and Lowry. Brooks, Martin, Lowry....run-run-run-run!!
