Just back from my friend's home...had a celebration party there after the game...what a night...Go Rockets!!!
Wow...no one has any idea Budinger was injured. The whole bench was so into the game that they don't even notice Bud need help.
I just watched sportscenter top 10 plays... and WTF how was martin's and-1 shot not there?? OR Jordan Hill's posterizing dunk? both of those plays were better then most they had on the top 10.. no respect..
Let me say this and I've said this before. I know there are a few that dismiss what I said about yao in the offense, but let me repeat again even if this was against a below average pacers team. Thos same shot miller was hitting at the elbow and high post are the same shots yao can hit. The same passes miller were making, yao can't make until he learns the angles and anticipation of those plays. In essence, the offense would run alot smooter and keep a flow if they got yao out the blocks and inverted him high to mid post. Now there should be times when he is in the post working, but all in all, he shouldn't be there clogging the paint up. The team got used to playing without him last year, but they struggled playing without him more defensively than offensively. Rather its brooks, lowry, ish, bud, martin or whomever trying to work this offense, the baseline needs to be free. Yao needs to be pick and pop/play finisher vs dump it down, wait, look around, and all the other stuff that goes into it. Add to that, if yao is high post, he can get back on defense quicker because he's already at the free throw line, not on the blocks. This is not a 1 game knee jerk, this is something I've said when yao was shooting shots from the wheelchair. He needs to raise his bbiq offensively and lear no hit cutters while they're being uncovered much like a qb throwing a wide receiver open. Most times in a reactionary sport, guys are getting open when the pass is coming, not open and then the pass comes, the game is too fast for that.
Because we are 2-6 and indeed we got no respect. But you know what? We were secretly making other teams think we suck. We are the underdogs bro.
Charlie Rosen wrote about that in an article before the beginning of the season. He says players are TOO taped up around the ankles where it puts too much stress on the knees, and its resulted in an increased number of serious knee injuries the past few years. He basically says its better that players leave their ankles alone to move around how they are supposed to and accept the nagging ankle injuries, rather than over-taping the ankles and it leading to career end knee injuries instead. (Rosen isnt a doctor, just is usual overly expert opinion)
he's right...when you freeze up the ankle too much the knee will straighten out more, overlocking/hyperextending. Shoes can have a similar effect if they are too high/tight at the ankle. but in the rockets' case they all seem to be pretty legit accidents, just bad luck.
