What is with people's obsession with stats? Battier must be an average defender, i mean just look at his stats! Camby is a great help defender, thats about it, that is what he is at this stage of his career, a great help defender, nothing else. He'll stop layups for us, he will be great for this team that plays midgets, but tell me, how does trading Tmac's contract or Battier for Camby help the Rockets? How can the Rockets make a favorable trade for him? Enlighten me. If they can i am all for it.
Agreed. I thought they were pretty good, and it was refreshing not to hear the blatant homerism you get from other announcers (most notably Bill and Matt. They have got to tone that stuff down a little). It was actually to the point that it got a little weird how they seemed to spend so much more time talking about and complementing the Rockets rather than their own team.
They have too many weapons? LOL'ed after I watched the game through. The clippers announcers are joke! Completely and totes. 1 for 14 from behind the arc was utterly trash! And Marcus Camby has no sportsmanship!
To be honest the rockets announcers are huge homers. i like them cuz i'm a rockets fan but if i was objective about it they definitely say some interesting stuff from time to time. but yea the clipper announcers were just flat out awful.
LOL'ed, shhh.. we handed that other LA team a loss when we paid a visit at Staples Center last month.
This. I was very impressed at how many compliments they were giving to the Rockets. Now Tommy Heinson of the Celtics or Rick Barry of Golden State has to be two of the most homeristic (and almost unlistenable in Heinson's case) announcers I've heard on League Pass. Barring the team they're representing, I do enjoy listening to the Jazz announcers and I'm always entertained by the Knicks' Walt Frasier.
The Rockets could use Camby, no doubt about it. That being said......what a game. We have to beat the ones we are supposed to beat and stay close to the others.....to get to the playoffs. A bonus in a "Holding pattern" year. DD
Man, that whole organization is just weird. Early in the game the announcer mentioned that he spoke to Chris Kaman before the game and said something about how Kaman has struggled against Yao and that it should be a little better now that he's going against a 6-6 guy in Chuck Hayes instead of the 7-6 Great Wall. And he said Kaman's reaction was like "wow, really...do they even plan on double-teaming?" And I was just like...is he joking or does he really not know that Chuck Hayes has been the starting center for the Rockets all season long? It made it sound like they do absolutely no preparation for an opponent. Anyone else catch this? What a joke.
Yeah, I was flabbergasted by that whole exchange as well. The part where Kamen said something along the lines of "They better double team" Did you guys see us double team more than once or twice?
we won the game when adelman switched shane onto baron davis great adjustment by rick poor coaching by dunleavy for running all those isos it was to easy for us to set are defense clippers had no ball movement and very poor spacing.
