Agree. How can a starting PG, playing almost 31 minutes, and had only 1 assist? One freakin' assist. Lowry had 6 coming off the bench.
He's a scoring point!!! I dont know why people keep looking at his assists, why do you all think we got Lowry? To have two DIFFERENT point guards. That way they can be inserted when we need what they bring. He's never going to rack up assists, he wasnt brought in to score, not pass, most of the time. It's the PG version of Scolandry.
Great Win. we back to the 4th seed. if the playoffs start tomorrow, we play against the Blazers with the HCA...
Why r u so worked up? The man has a point. Even scoring point guards tend to avg higher assists than AB.
A good win,but there is one questions:how can a center to be a dominant one if he only shoots 10? Should AD hope he can get high field percent,or every team make more fouls on Yao? That's fool, isn't it?
I couldn't agree more! I have wanted Outlaw for a while now. He is long and athletic, just what the Rockets need. The kid can shoot too. But, the Blazers would be crazy to let him go.
Last night, I saw many, many (too many to enumerate) occasions that Brooks did not look for pass even Yao established a good postion.
If they'll do that in the offseason, the Rockets have to do it. Outlaw, solid jump shooter, long, athletic, good defensive player, he would be a phenomenal pickup if Morey could pull it off. Shane is exactly what Portland needs, a veteran presence who loves to play defense.
Because fans keep trying to change him or grade him based on assists. There are pure points, combo points, and scoring points...Brooks is purely a scoring point and he's not really in a position to run an offense, create, etc. The offense starts with Yao, so that's an entry pass by shane most of the time, And even shane wont rack up alot odf assists because there's usually a kick out. It's nearly impossible for Brooks to get many assists whe the offense is ran like that. He also doesn't play starter's minutes consistently. He can get anywhere from 25 to 40 mins based on which point is fitting better that game, so y'all expect consistency in assists when the guy doesnt even get consistent minutes. His role is also going to change depending on what the defense gives him, sometimes he has 1 assists, sometimes he has 10. Its not like he's always getting 0 or 1 assist, that's how some posters act though..
You aren't supposed to "rub it in" to the other team, when you are clearly going to win. That's why no one plays defense in the closing minute in a guaranteed loss. You know the other player isn't going to slam it in, etc.
it actually was better than some of the comments from the oregonian article that is linked on the rockets home page. Everyone says that they have an off game shooting against the rockets and they missed shots they normally make. When will people have a clue after it happens to them everytime.
