Von Wafer is the bomb! I think we matchup well with the blazers! I hope we dont play utah, lakers and san antonio....we will get out of the first round if we dont play those teams.
A win that I expected us to win, and hopefully, a win the Rockets expected to win. We can take the Blazers easily with better decision-making. I was very impressed with Lowry's handling at the point. Even at a young age, he has the mentality of a vet. That's good to have in a player who has seen relatively little playing time on a consistent basis. Good win, but obviously, we miss Landry big time. He'll be an added bonus come playoff time. Please, No Utah Jazz though. Please. Cod
Von should get more playing minutes with Yao. They fronted Yao and left the lane open, Von is the guy who can take the ball to the rim!
W22_streak's analysis The Good: Yao--- efficient and dominant as ever. I can only question why he didn't take more shots despite the fronting. Scola---those silky midrange jumpers he hit in the 4th Q were key to us winning the game. And his hustle and rebounding was on full display as he ripped the ball out of a few Blazers hands going for offensive rebounds, coming out of nowhere to clinch the ball. On a few occasions a Blazer thought he had got the ball only to see Scola rushing towards the basket and grab the ball away from his hand. SCOLA NEEDS MORE TOUCHES AND SHOTS!!! Von---turned up the offense tonight. When Yao wasn't an option due to fronting he made them pay. Kyle Lowry my fav PG!---6 assists to Ab's 1 assist? I love that. Chuck Hayes---Great defense, great rebounding. When Chuck Hayes goes 4-7 FGM-FGA you know ur team is doing good. Too good. The bad: Brooks---Shot poorly and barely contributed in other categories. He gets almost no rebounds and no assists. GREAT WIN!!!
It's pretty obvious Lowry is the true PG and Aaron isn't. Not only that, Lowry does the little things that help win game like slow the ball down and pass to Yao and come back and box out and help rebound the ball. When did you ever see Aaron Brooks did that?? Brooks is an out-of-control PG. He's like a deer...just can't compose himself and sometimes make bad decisions.
Question: Why is Rick Adelman all of sudden putting Artest on Roy instead of Battier?? See that's what i don't understand. Why not use Artest on Kobe as well?? I have no doubt Artest will make it harder for Kobe than it is with Shane. Shane is a play-it-safe defender...like even if he has a chance to block a shot, he choose to block his vision. With Artest, that mfker is going to take risk and be more aggressive and will go for the block, not just trying to playing it safe. Rick Adelman should have known better.
good win Przybilla got no point, Oden got no rebound Yao was clutch, Hayes did very well on both sides, Wafer's awesome dunk, all nice except AB
You think he might remember that Kobe kicked Ron's butt all over the court just a week ago. You think he might be smarter than you? You think? Duh
Artest let Kobe get in his head and well, Artest went ape and let Kobe burn him. With Shane on Kobe, at least Artest is defending someone else and not making it a personal battle b/t him and Kobe. We all know what happened when it was Kobe vs Artest...
How do we pry Travis Outlaw away from the Blazers, he's starter material. He can't be happy being the 6th man in Portland.

You see this would make sense if this was BEFORE the Laker game a few weeks ago when Ron guarded Kobe. But it's AFTER, and we all know now Ron pissed off Kobe and made him go off, and we all know Ron got tricked by Kobe into going (taking a risk like you want him to) after a ball he had no chance of getting so Kobe could spin away and hit a wide open 3. Ron isn't going to block Kobe, neither is shane, but at least shane is always going to be on him, Ron on the other hand, sometimes is on him, sometimes he gambles and leaves Kobe wide open or gives him a path to the rim. Not good...
From The DreamShake: Hey, guys, ummmm... it's not like Kobe Bryant needed any additional motivation to kick the Rockets' collective asses. He's like, uh, good and stuff. Though I guess we have resolved the mystery of what it was that Ron Artest said to Kobe Bryant the last time the two teams played and Kobe went off for 37 points (30+ in the second half when Artest was guarding him). Artest: "I called him the worst player in the world," he said. "I told him he was the worst player I’ve ever seen in my life."
