I've given Ariza lots of grief this year, but he played a very good game and deserves some recognition.

He was decisive, took the ball to the hole with authority (that one dunk he had was just sick) and he was very good on defense.

And, of course, great job by Dorsey. Monster effort from him. I knew he was supposed to be able to rebound, but I didn't know he could pass the ball like he did tonight. I hope he gets more playing time...

Almost? Conley needed a Pickaxe and a Hat Lamp to get through Dorsey's screens. Even Bill felt the concussive force of the impact.. I believe his exact quote was: "Oof!"

Much needed and much deserved win.

Good contribution from everyone. The effort from Shane was great tonight. He was unnoticed by many, but he shut down part of Memphis' team.

We needed this win, obviously, for more than the record. Tie breaker at the end of the season could come into play.

    Bring on Philly!

LOL.....I saw that too. I guess they decided Cook needs to do something since he isn't playing, so they made him do a commercial for Black History....and he was bad at that, too...

God, it felt good to FINALLY see a "Hakeem like" block on the rockets. The team energy went up 10 levels on that block.

And let's not forget Trevor! He has been playing smarter as of late. It took about 45 games, but it seems he is finally getting comfortable with accepting his limits.

Let's keep our collective fingers crossed that he continues to play smart.

Also, I can't wait for that Utah game on national TV.

Excellent performance from the entire team and a great showing from Dorsey. I have to wonder, if he didn't just sign Andersen a ticket to the bench. Other then a few mistakes, he showed a lot of promise defensively.

Hadn't seen that kind of defense in awhile, and Dorsey is being traded. Obvious showcasing tonight.

I just think that Scola or Landry is the one to be traded...

dorsey's play tonight is awesome ,cut DA's minutes to dorsey

we really need a guy like dorsey to provide tough defense along with labdry and scola.

Nice win for the team. The only trade that should be made is just trading TMac and Cook for whatever you can get. The best trade in regards with getting back expiring contracts would be with the Wizards. Butler, Haywood, and a filler to complete the trade.

I wish we could do something like that, starting to think maybe time to see if any team is intrested in Andersen to.

    Ditto.

Between Lowry and Dorsey, they set the energy level for the rest of the team tonight. If they can do that consistently, I'd give Dorsey a chance to blossom for the Rockets the rest of the season -- not some other team. What impressed me about him tonight was his speed. A couple of plays, his speed at tracking the ball on both rebounds and defense reminded me of Hakeem. Don't get me wrong. In no way am I saying his is as talented as Olajuwon was, but his speed seems better than any other PF we have. With the support of his teammates he has potential like Budinger. More in a defensive way, but it is there.

When we have such a good, strong core of really young players that are playing the way they are I'd much rather keep them together. One of the reasons the Spurs and the Mavericks teams have been good for long stretches is once they get good young players they don't keep mixing and matching searching for that instant recipe that only rises and falls fast in the oven. They let them grow and learn to play together. This team has a chance to develop in a similar fashion. Maybe add that one "other" piece that can be interchangeable with Yao next year, but don't mess with this group of players. And don't trade Battier away until he has imparted as much "smarts" about the game and defense as can be squeezed out of him. ;)
