its not so much that he doesn't but a lot of times, he's out of control. I love it when he stutter steps and then kicks it into gear b/c he's almost unstoppable. he's almost too quick for his own good sometimes.
Honestly, he needs to work with Calvin Murphy on that little 8 foot stop and pop shot. No need to go to the basket....just stop and pop. DD
yup. when he stops and pops for that mid range jumper, it's almost always automatic. i'd much rather he do that than take it to the rim only to get it blocked.
So bottom line so far has been, Scola and Landry are good. Aaron needs to be consistent, then he'll be good. Kyle needs to score a bit more then he'll be good. Ariza needs to put up points with fewer shots, Budinger and Andersen need to be consistent. Battier just needs points. Individual work and consistency. Loving the team play, hating the lack of individual success. seems like a contradiction but they need to become efficient individually. I'm seeing a great team later on in the season.
oh, lol..I must agree... but his intangibles are what sets him apart from lebron, and kobe and the rest
Yeah, he needs to do it in balance also. He's still a work in progress, but that stop and pop would make him basically unguardable for the most part.
If AB could control his speed like Chris Paul does, he would be ungaurdable with that jumpshot. Meanwhile, Carl Landry is easily the best player on this Rockets team. I wonder whether or not he should start, but he should get more minutes than Scola IMO.
That is true, he gets going a tad too fast...he needs a bit more body control. Ironically, when he is setting up his step back mid range shot he is perfectly in balance. He is a work in progress, I think he just needs to be a tad more aggressive looking for his shot. DD
Okay I haven't read this whole thread yet (still watching the game) but I just wanted to repeat a great line from Bill "Courtney Kirkland is uh perfect hasn't made a correct call yet" lol I am so glad I can hear Bill and Bull announce. Edit: Oh god... Brian Cook even got to play.. rough night for the rockets
hes shootign it a lot less this year, i think yao's absence took that away, the defense is stepping up more instead of staying home with yao
No kidding. With his quickness, AB could get separation for the stop and pop just about any time he wanted. Someone call Calvin! As much as I dislike the guy, working with the Dream helped Bryant's game this season. No reason AB couldn't get some sessions with Murph and it might make a difference.
1st. great win and great job ...... 2nd. time to have a winning streak ...... 3rd. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ROCKETS
