I was checking out Lakersground (I think that's it) and you would think the world was going to end. Finger pointing, whining, flopping... it's all there. Hell, their BBS is like their team on the court!

    from the LA Times:

Playing the only way that would give them a chance to win, the outmanned Rockets mugged the Lakers from start to finish, knocking Andrew Bynum to the bench and Gasol into oblivion and the vaunted Lakers cool into thin air.

In the end, the Lakers not only lost their poise, but their fans, the supposedly most passionate group in Los Angeles literally running for the exits in the final minutes, making it an embarrassing night for everyone.

    How bad was it?

With 4:54 left in the game and the Lakers trailing by six, Rockets star Yao Ming crumbled on the floor after a collision with Kobe Bryant.

He grabbed his right knee. He cried out in pain. He limped into the tunnel. The Lakers exhaled.

Moments later, after stretching his knee against a wall, Yao ran back on to the court and scored eight points in the final four minutes.

Yeah, it was Paul Pierce, Part II.

"At least he didn't use a wheelchair!" shouted a fan.

It didn't matter. It was just as awful.

"I don't know what our trainer did to Yao, but it was like Rocky coming out there," said Rockets Coach Rick Adelman.

If so, then the Lakers were the side of beef

This Rocket team may not be the most talented Rocket team we have had, but they certainly have the hearts of a champion.

I am so proud of your guys! Go! Rocket Warriers!!!

Great win, I always believed this team could do it and they did. I am so happy right now.. just to soak in this moment.. even though it is one game. The only thing I'm worried about right now is Yao's knee.. I hope it doesn't swell up too much and he's good to go for Wednesday. YAY ROCKETS! :D

I told everyone that Kobe would get tired because he did take rest the second half the game. The Rockets should go for the kill on Wednesday.

Well Kenny said he thought we matched up well with the Lakers at the beginning of this season and it was proven in this game. Charles said something like the Lakers didn't play flat we just outplayed them. C-Webb just talked about Adelman and so on and Ernie didn't really give say much. I'm sure there was more said than that and I'm forgetting, but nobody acted like it was a fluke.

Best part about this win is that we beat them with Kobe scoring 32 and shooting 45% which is about his career percentage.

Such a sweet win. So proud of the whole team. Yao + Artest played well, even Hayes made some big rebounds. I've been hard on Brooks but he was great tonight, even better than the games he had in Portland imo.

I loved Battier's swagger too, laughing on the court after taking an elbow and a knee to the head from Kobe, then getting an elbow from Vujacic.

Oh and the LakePeople saying Yao faked his injury are hilarious :D

The Rockets didn't allow the Lakers to win any quarter. We won the first, tied the 2nd & 3rd and then showed them that we weren't going to fade in the 4th. I believe how we closed this game, will be huge in this series. This should give the Rockets some added confidence and erase some doubts. Great job guys!!
