Ready for the half dozen "we told you all along the Rockets were the biggest threat to the Lakers" articles on all the major sites tomorrow?

I wasn't a believer down the stretch. I kept waiting for Koby to take over however the Rockets were CLUTCH down the stretch. Haven't seen that in a while.

Yao was great tonight. I would expect him to be fronted again next game.

No offense, but you're probably the most annoying poster that has surfaced on this forum during this year's playoffs. Please get rid of the cap and the maximum size font. I swear, every post I read from you is all in that same obnoxious style.

This has probably been kicked around ad nauseum in the GARM over the years, but it really burns me up that Charles and Kenny can't give Yao his due in the post-game. They just refuse to acknowledge how well he played. Ernie pushes the issue, and Kenny and Charles dodge. Yao was obviously the story tonight -- coming back courageously from injury, nailing key shots, draining his free throws, and providing the emotional lift needed to bury the Lakers. Yet what do Kenny and Charles talk about? Aaron Brooks and Derek Fisher. What's the deal -- do they not like the outsider or something?

Fantastic win and a fantastic start of the series. I especially loved that we didn't lose a SINGLE quarter in the game. That's is a pretty amazing feat against these Lakers.

It's a real pleasure watching this team put on one gutsy performance after another. I expect the Lakers to come out a lot sharper for Game 2. Prepare for one hell of a dogfight.

    - I didn't know the Lakers played so dirty, I mean they are just plain down DIRTY!!!

    - I hope Yao will be feeling good on Tuesday, we'll know by then if he'll be able to play the next game, overnight swelling from sprains can get really bad.

    - L.A will not play this bad aagain, they started off COLD, expect a different game 2.

    - Battier played great D on Kobe.

    - Artest, well I just hope that 3 - 10 game doesn't how up in this series, it'll cost us a game. He was great today, did a FAB job on Odom.

Hayes - HE did AWESOME when Yao was resting in the first half, I didn't know his D was that good. Great in limited minutes.

Lowry / Brooks - what can you say, these guys are young, they are going to have up and down games. Today it was great. The future is bright with these two. I just hope they can do enough to keep us in games.

Barry - he played, and he hit a 3 pointer or two, nice to see him contribute.

Hey, at least they had some complementary things to say about the Rockets. I sure agree about Yao. His performance was EPIC!

I loved how the fans started to chane "Houston Sucks!" when they were down.

The opposing city's team sucks chant usually comes when the home team is up...not down. It almost sounded like "You guys suck! How dare you beat us?"

    I just want to say..

Was that mausoleum dead or what??

That was the most quiet, lifeless crowd I have ever heard, and that includes all those old Rockets crowds people would always complain about.

THAT, friends, is what you get when you grab the lead and hold it like a pit bull the entire game. The crowd never gets into it.

Wednesday, same song, second verse, same as the first!

    Wow.
