it was just a great game by the Rockets. KOBE intentionally elbowed Battier, if Ron did that its automatic rejection.
lets go rockets!!..we dont all the greatest talents, but we sure play with our heart and toughness..shane and yao came right back!
Quote from Barkley after the game, when all the media was shocked from the Rockets victory! "Only god is an expert"
Great win for the Rockets.I think there was one big difference in this game than the others. The Rockets took away the Lakers x factor. They did it by assigning Artest to Lamar Odom. Now the lakers only have one facillatator. Kobe and we can live with Kobe getting his. I was somewhat skeptical about this series, given the four regular season matchups, but when RA put Artest on Odum my wish came true because I thought this was the key for the regular season games that we lost. Rockets be greedy but stay humble and give it your all!
This board blew up last night and I couldn't get on to post. Suffice it to say I'm very proud of our team. They kept fighting despite injuries and the hostile environment. It must be said that Yao showed lots of folks that in his own way he does indeed have the heart of a champion. Soft? I don't think so. I love this team -- every one of them. GO ROCKETS!
LOL! Anyone remember what happened at a Rockets Mother's Day playoff game? The fans stayed away and the players were a little upset afterward.
huge but suprisig win! yao showed his leadership..brooks was the best player really cuz he scored and made passes to open guys when he drove in..too fast for fisher to handle. battier great defense on kobe for even though he had 32 points he too just as many shots (31) artest wit da new cut (finally) did his thing and hit sum open threes..lets see how we can in game 2 cuz i kno the lakers are coming out fired up..
I've been a little worried about the consistency of AB's play. He had 3 TOs vs 2 assists and a couple of dangerous passes that could have really changed the game like when he tried to pass out of the trap right in front of our basket. We got a little lucky when one of his bad passes that ended with a Odom dunk got called out of bounds (didn't look like it to me). His free throw shooting is worrying me too (62.5% vs 86.6% in the regular season). But that's what you get from a young player: high highs and low lows. I'm hoping this is part of his maturing process and he'll get stronger as the playoffs go on like Rondo last year. It's not like Rafer was the model of consistency anyway. On a more positive note -- after our win last night, I believe anything is possible with this team! Rockets in 6!
Oh and last night I was a Buffalo Wild Wings on Kirby. When Yao hurt his knee and we came back from commercial and Yao was heading to the locker room everyone in the place groaned and yelled "Nooooo Yao!!!!" When he started begging to go back and stretching out, everyone started cheering. When he came out of the tunnel back to the courtside, the place went crazy! At that moment, I was glad I wasn't watching the game at home.
