Rick Adelman and Gary Kubiack need to get together for lunch and tell each other what they do wrong and/or how much they suck.
The problem the bench is giving up lead so bad a minute extra and is a blow out. The problem is the pattern substitution. He seat all the started at the same time. He need to leave Scola in while KM is getting a break and KM in while Scola is getting a break. Then he need to call time outs so there team can get some rest. You can play Chuck, Hill, Chase, Lee, Ish the same time. They play a few minutes and gave the entire game back.
If we are not going to sign Dampier then use freaking Jordan Hill. This goes back to DD's thread of "comfort foods". Adelman has yet to fix it and if he doesnt fix it soon he will get ran out of town.
I miss Landry. Not because he is in any way better than Martin, but because he played with heart and pure hustle. All we have now is a bunch of floppers who don't have the confidence to take big shots down the stretch. At least when we had guys like Landry and Deke and Wafer we would see some emotion and get to watch them go beast mode all over teams. Instead we get to watch guys fall down on defense looking for a foul call only to watch as their player goes for an uncontested layup. Pitiful...
You know, Martin was more or less the one carrying this team in the fourth quarter, right? I don't get the Landry hype. At all. I liked Landry, but more Landry means less Scola, and Scola's better. Not to mention then we have Trevor doing that.....thing on offense which this entire board whined about. If the counter is "we won more" the response is we won because teams didn't expect us. Landry played well when no one knew who the f he was, but once teams started to focus on him, his play turned pedestrian. There was a game right before the deadline when Millsap singlehandedly wrecked him. This crap about fourth quarter scoring is also pointless, because our struggles are not on offense and Landry was not a good defender either nor was he a good rebounder. When it comes to it, anyone who whines about the Martin-Landry trade simply has no knowledge of the game or making pieces fit, and is more concerned about stupid junk like toughness or heart as opposed to the more important fundamentals of having a good player throughout your lineup and plain execution. That's what matters.
so every fan that points out 2 of the top4 players are out is worshipping their GM? give me a break... weird...i'm sure i saw him have good game last year where he changed some shots, played some good d and gave us some energy and hustle. That's what we needed. How is that any better than miller and scola giving up layups? No one is saying JJ should start or get 30 minutes. Plug him in there in spurts to get a good burst of energy for 2 mins at a time. That can be the difference between holding off a comeback and players running out of gas in the 4th.
We are supposed to be a deep team. Even with Brooks and Yao coming back, i am not sure if this team can turn it around. I feel sorry for the fans. I did not expect them to suck this bad. Rockets definitely missing a take charge guy. Scola is a go to guy, but his defense is terrible. Martin can be, but he doesn't and defense weak too. This team is just weak mentally. Ughh.....i'm depressed
The defense would have been better, but his micro-managing would have been detrimental to the growth of the young players.
It is his fault for false advertising himself as a go-to player with his stats, that's why Morey thought he was a star player
Because we don't know we've lost until the game is over The season isn't over... you got to keep playing to win. Toronto pulled away in the second quarter against the Rockets bench. It's been a consistent problem for the Rockets... their bench can't tread water, much less make up any ground. They will hopefully be stronger when Yao and AB get back, but if this keeps up, it could be too late.
Against Raptors, Chuck Hayes is a better option than Miller. Chuck stopped Bagnani's drive a few times in 3rd quarter and helped Lowry, Raptors offense looked lost. Somehow RA can't see that.
The team looked completely awful in the first half when Kevin Martin wasn't on the floor. I can't say I blame Adelman for trying to go with Martin the entire second half. It was one of those damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don't situations for him.
The "oh its only been X amount of games" shet is no excuse anymore. How can you lose to the raptors?!!?!?!? WTF.
