2008-2009 season was about exposing that T-Mac was the reason we couldn't get out the first round. 2009-2010 season was a season without just do what you can in other words settle for medocrity. 2010-2011 season is about my sig and that Daryl Morey is a stats geek that won't put together a championship team with his thinking mentality.
You know what is worse about tonight...and it is almost laugh out loud funny? David Andersen outplayed Brad Miller and we are paying Miller $8 million more over the next 2 years. I mean, if that is not a kick square in the nuts..then I don't know what is...... DD
LMFAO for the second time..............and counting! Bring the loosing please, the worse we get the better and hopefully soon.
i had a quick look at the box score...but did not watch the game... HOW THE F**K did we loose to the raptor by 10 point? were we playing bad D? we they just hot all game? did we start missing everything and turning the ball over in the 4th again?
I didn't get to watch the game but it seems I didn't miss much. I'm watching Ariza in New Orleans from now on. Playing against Cleveland, heck, even Cleveland is playing much better than we are because . . . they have a good coach in Byron Scott. I hate the excuses management and the Chronicle have taken to giving--you know we don't have a superstar--we don't have Derrick Rose, John Wall, etc etc. Play with the line-up you have; maximize it. But we are not maximizing our deep line-up. Instead we're not playing JT when we need him and PP who could help with rebounding is exiled to the Rio Grande. I mean, the coaches are not thinking straight. Everybody has to share responsibility--DM, RA and the players.
Watching other teams play is so depressing.....you can see how far the Rockets are from the good teams of the league.
I am actually praying Yao stays out as long as possibl so he doesnt mess us over. Bring him back with his false hope to win a few meaningless games? Then we get a lower draft pick probably. He might leave anyways or retire. Brooks is leaving I tell you now. I wish Morey could do something about this befor he does.
If they blow this team up and, say, trade KMart, other teams which are better-constructed will be able to find use for him. Blow the team up and free the players so they can on teams with better coaching and better situations.
I didn't say Adelman put higher value on offense than on defense. Its simply the fact that this team has too many one-dimensional players that become a liability in some way despite the advantages they bring. We cannot be contenders that way. We need players who can contribute or at least hold it down on both sides of the court.
We have one draft pick -- ours or the Knicks, whichever is lower (and assuming the Knicks don't get #1). Rockets need to win and hope the Knicks get them in the lottery... their pick isn't necessarily screwed up by winning assuming the Knicks are in the lotto. Restricted free agency might have some say on that.
Your first year in the NBA is an adjustment period. Not only that, he was playing out of position. I was hoping the Rockets would hold onto Andersen because I had a feeling he would be a lot better this year, but so many people were ready to throw him under the bus.
Andersen played well today, but he isn't exactly tearing it up or anything. He didn't have a future here.
One question about the game, what was Lowry thinking when we were down 94-100 and he went for an ill-advised layup attempt (2 pts) in traffic? Wasn't it clear we needed a three?
Brooks and Yao winning only continues the cycle of mediocre expectations though. They arent gonna provide enough winning to give our team any real chance at anything special except maybe more dumb long contracts involving Brooks and Yao. This combo is not a winning combo for Championships or the playoffs. They can get there but Yao is not the same Yao. They dont have the right mix to do anything there anyways if Yao was a Superstar again.
Agree, but that was not really my point, it was that we paid Miller so much more. We have not had one player that our organization thought had "Tread left on the tires" work out as a net positive......or a significant positive. Just turrible. ! DD
I see what you are saying. Why give up on a terrible signing like Andersen? Only to being in his more expensive replacement who does almost the exact same things as Andersen did.. Morey is coo coo for Cocoa Puffs lately.
