Not wanting to be overly critical of the Chuckwagon, since we really shouldn't be looking to him for much scoring (whatever we get from him is gravy) and he contributes so much defensively, on the boards, and interior passing, but it seems that after a very good start to the season where Chuck was contributing to the scoring he has slipped back into last year's tendency to miss layins. He gets fouled on some of these but his FT sooting is so poor it usually just means more lost opportunities to score. Sure would help getting some production out of him again.
Don't be mad guys.this is only a lose for one game, still 50 games left for entire season.we can't guratee a win against any team below 50% . trevor was totally lost during the game, that ugly elbow punch is shaming.but please don't bash him, once again he proved him still a young man, much more needs to learn, not only for skill but mentality. carl again proved himself to be the most reliable player, great game only for him.we need to admit he has reached all-star level ,what is more terrible is that he is still keeping improving.I don't know what his ceiling is ,but holding him for only 9min 3 yrs is what a luck. keeping going rox, hoping to win back next time in toronto.
PLEASE dont start acting as if ariza is a wash...we know what ariza is by now. no he cannot be a supertsart for a team but he is a solid player. he made a mistake. thankfully he did not connect. the league suspends him a couple of games and he comes back and continues to contribute. he was having a bad night was frustrated and he made a bad decision. this one night does not chg what he's done for us so far which is be a solid player, not a perfect player but definitely solid. i missed the game last night but i saw highlights of what happen. glad i missed it. hopefully we can bounce back. we cant expect to win every game with this group....
How many easy shots did we miss. Just unbelievable.............I mean literally, under the basket, Aaron missed layups, Lowry missed layups, Scola missed layups......... besides, there open 3s we missed, just pathetic........ the raptors did not win, we lost it ourselves.............
You know, I think it's the other way around...we play horribly up there for some reason. It always seems to be an early sunday game, we look sluggish, someone else commented on how our guys were missing all their shots in warmup. After playing game after game around 6-9pm I think playing a nooner really screws up our guys' energy.
lol...the refs are gonna call some and let some go. Its on their home court and we are playing without any 'superstar' players, so i am not really hoping for the refs to favour us. But when ur shots are not falling, you take it to the rack, whether the refs call it or not. Anyway just my opinion.
Finally had a chance to watch this game in totality. My take- 1. The raptors dancers are REALLY trashy-looking! Whassup w/ that?? 2. We played damn well. Seriously, in the third quarter we really shut them down defensively quite well. If we had made 3 or 4 WIDE-OPEN threes in this game, we could have won it. which brings me to my final point.... 3. We could have used t-mac in this game. I'm not saying coach should have played him or anything, but to the people who ask why we need him- this is why. When the team in frustrated by that poor shooting- we need someone to step up and light us up. That's what t-mac is there for. In the fourth quarter, Carl Landry SHOULDN"T HAVE to be our finisher. It's not fair to put that on him, even if he is having a beast of a season. T-mac or a veteran of his caliber could definitely have changed the whole pace of this game with a good basket at a crucial time to keep our guys from being frustrated. 4. I really think if Ariza had kept his head up and not doing something stupid like that, he might have also been able to help us. I mean eventually he had to hit SOMETHING. If he just stuck with it, we did get close enough to come back, even in the 4th. 5. Wow, we shot bad when our team got thoroughly frustrated. LOL at Shane Battier hitting the top of the backboard. Poor guy. 6. I felt bad for Scola and Landry. They were taking a serious beating under the hoop, again because of our ability to make an outside shot. You see Scola's hair all messed up that one play? And Carl losing his contacts.
