Our chances of making the playoffs are slim at best at this point. I would like to see more or Jordan Hill -- either to get him more experience so he can contribute as a rotation player next year or to showcase him so we can use him in a trade this summer.

This game was very frustrating. We had every chance to win it and we blew it. Horrible horrible loss.

Not hindsight at all, I was saying it in chat and in my living room, you know why all their shots are short late??

    They have no legs....

Adelman is running them into the ground for no reason....Conroy could have run the clock for 2-4 minutes to give Brooks a blow.

And Budinger got like 3 or so minutes....Battier was GASSED....

Come on Rick...You are costing this team wins and losses.....

    Hey, wait....higher draft position....

    Never mind.

Battier - "That's the smart play right there."

Yeah, it sure is. We all know that pulling it out with a streaking 6'10" big man leading the 3-1 break is a great move. Especially when you are up 8 with 4 minutes left on the clock and you are the proud owner of one of the suddenly worst defenses in the league. Gotta work that play clock when there is practically half a quarter left. /sarcasm

The tip in lieu of rebound into the middle of the floor that would have gotten a high school jv player benched was icing on the cake.

I have defended this guy; I am all about intangibles, but this is just stupid. I am so tired of watching him choke games. I actually miss watching Ariza screw up.

Good game to the rook, though. /sigh

agree the staff don't trust yet in the shooting of the bench in crunch time "Budinger" and Martin don't want to take that final shoots

    Season is over guys, really.

I am excited for next season, though.

Jordan Hill showed me he can be Landry's replacement. He is fast down the court, good shooting touch and he is 6'10"". A lot of offseason work with CD, and he will be very good for us.

Let us not forget we are still a injury-depleted team. Think about the possibilities: getting Yao, Ariza, Lowry, and perhaps Bosh or Stoudmire to this team and we become instant contenders.

Good effort but the team was running on fumes from mid-fourth quarter on. Would've liked to have seen more Conroy and Budinger to give Brooks/Martin some rest (47 minutes each for the starting backcourt), but whatever.

Much respect for the Pistons team for playing as hard as they did. Prince and Hamilton made plays when they counted.

Great game by Hill. Very promising. I like how the combination of Scola with Hill or Jeffries in the frontcourt is looking. Their height, mobility and defensive presence are a good complement to Luis.

Playoff hopes are looking dim right now, but it will be good to get Lowry and Ariza back for the Wiz game.

I would rather have a lottery pick than be the 8th seed, and I obviously agree with you about the lack of rest...

Ridiculous that Adelman did not play Conroy in the 2nd half, and Bud barely sniffed the floor.

He had a mental lapse, it happens. It looked he was seriously sucking wind on that play and didn't think straight.

It was unfortunate that it may of cost us the game right there.

I would like to hear an example of another game where Battier choked it away...

Yeah was it Bull who said that was the right play?

It was a 3on1...basically free points or a foul...

Ariza would have did SOMETHING, even if he just went in only to miss a layup or do some stupid fancy pass that goes out of bounds...at least it's not a missed opportunity.

This game was on Battier. The last 5 minutes of regulation were an utter failure on transition defense.

First, with 3 minutes left in the game, take the 3-on-1 and get some points. That is not a time to slow the game.

Then, why he is crashing the offensive boards? Honestly. one of the guards is shooting, and he wasn't. He should have gotten back.

Lastly, when you are crashing the offensive boards like that, why on earth would you tip the ball out that far? That is a free ball, and your tipping it to an open space where anyone can get it.

It is like Battier completely did not realize that both his guards are scorers who will be going to the basket and not camped out at the 3-pt line to go back on defense.

As per Martin, why use the PnR the few times he actually goes to the basket. I keep hearing how quick he is, and he was shooting decently earlier in the game. Just based on the other defender having to defend his shot he should be able to get past him without a PnR, because it is obvious that he cannot get past the PnR help defender or find the open man rolling for a pass.

The game was lost there in that 10 play sequence when we could not stop the transition. OT was a lost cause when all your players are jump shooters and are playing 40+ minutes again after playing 40+ the previous night.

Ariza is actually good with fastbreaks...not so much shooting though.

I blame Adelman for not letting Bud party as well.

On the fast break, it was a bad play, but the Rockets did still get a good shot out of it. But that should have been a sure two points.

WTF is up with these extended 20 second time outs?
If you can't even get a delay of game after your called out; shows bias.
Its 20 not 21 and sure as hell not 40.

    Refs are rotten.
