How many games has Aaron Brooks lost this season. Too many ill advised threes and very odd play-making. I really like Ab but damn, Come On Son!
the Rockets are cursed with terrible refs and a coach who stubbornly refuses to make desperately needed adjustments until the last second.
IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD! THE END OF THE WOOOOOORLD!! Or...y'know...it just so happened that it's hard to not be a little gassed when you're an injury-depleted team on the second night of a back to back when last night's game ended at 10 and this one started at 5. But no, continue with the knee-jerking.
Tremendously disappointing. Us choking down the stretch in the 4th once more for good measure combined with some absolute bull**** calls and then coupled with letting Detroit take us into OT. Sigh.
The game should have never went to OT. Battier single-handedly got us there. I doubt we would have had much left if it went to another OT. EDIT: The end of the first half ultimately made a huge difference. Just like it did against Sacramento.
It was obvious that the Rockets were playing on dead legs at the end of the game. Nice to see Hill make positive contributions during meaningful minutes.
There's a reason Brooks was a late first round pick. All the scoring ability in the world, none of the playmaking and game control ability. We'll be fine when Lowry comes back and masks that weakness of Brooks.
Crappy refs. Second game of a road back-to-back in less than 24 hours. Meh. We were rollin' until we just hit a wall at 103 points... scored like, 4 points the next 7 minutes. Good to see Jordan Hill doin' work.
Tough loss. I thought we had it in hand just before that attempted alley oop to Jordan Hill. We were up 8 before that play and it went from maybe being up 10 to only being up 6 with the easy layup on the other end. That play opened up a can of worms as our team went into bone-head mode and lost it from there. I still think the problem is that Ariza and Lowry are out right now. We're trying to rely on 3 guys that are forced to play 42+ minutes every single game. Then people wonder why we can't play well at the end of the 4th quarter? They're exhausted... that's why.
AB has to be the most unclutch player Ive ever seen. He has not business taking the shot in end of quarter and specially in end of game situations. There is no way we can let Lowry go at the end of this season. We need him too badly as a backup pg. Jordan Hill showed tonight he really does have the talent to be an NBA player. I hope Adelman keeps giving him significant minutes. The Rox need his size and athleticism.
Back to back and Adelman FAILS to get Brooks some rest....Battier, Martin and Brooks were DEAD tired. Ridiculous....play the bench at least for 2 minutes....get those guys a blow... They had NO legs. This one was completely on the coaching staff, anyone with a brain can see that. DD
Tough loss, but we'll be fine. We just need to put together a little run and we'll make the playoffs. I'm not worried at all. Anyone who tells you he's worried is just a knee-jerk-off.
