Rick adelman needs to understand that this team is a defensive team.He has scola out there too long doing nothing,He like landry because he has better offensive skills than chuck hayes.

Chuck doeasn't play one minute not even the last 24 seconds on a key defensive posession. We should have gone to yao and chuck should have played some,Same stuff in the spurs game when landry couldn't get the defensive stops and after that game he starts to play chuck again but as soon as he see's some little offfense he goes back to just scola and landr.

    Here are my thoughts:

    1. Whenever Artest drives in, I have this 90% feeling he will get blocked.
    2. No one was guarding that morphy dude who shot those consecutive 3's which were the cause for the loss.
    3. Yao lacks confidence and his mental power is very weak, needs to practice passing and dunking.
    4. Landry, Battier, Scola did well.

    :(

Couldn't agree with you more Rockets fanatic. Yall gotta stop comparing us to lakers and celtics, just be patient with this team, I rather T-mac get well now then risk getting hurt. This ain't gonna be the last time we lose to a sorry team, so get used to it, it happens to every NBA team, no need to start calling for the firing of coaches and trading of players. If rockets win championship yall will be first to jump all over the nuts. We are atop the Southwest Division and still trying to gel, thats fine with me. Wait till february when this team has had half their games under there belt, be glad we don't play sorry teams in the playoffs. We are gonna be allright, don't forget these guys have basically been on 10 game road trip, cause they just stopped in Houston to play a game then got back on road. Guarantee they will be ready Saturday night against the Spurs. Just relax and watch this team improve, its gonna happen.

Yao's problem is that he doesn't dunk, thinking he can lay it up all the time. Like everyone said, he doesn't have that killer instinct.. this is his weakness, just accept it. He would never become someone who wants to dominate or cruch the opponent. He lacks that quality.

Regardless his eye got hit or his nose poked or his arms scratched, that's the way Yao has been and always be.

Well they're still up by 4 but you don't take Yao because then the Pacers are looking to attack inside and that's what they did. The benefits of having Yao in the lineup outweight the cost...such as Pacers wouldn't be able to do anything inside and they don't have anyone to guard Yao. The fact that Rick Adelman take Yao out is just stupid because he's basically send a message to the Pacers: 'i'll give up....Troy, you win!" As a coach...that is the lowest of the lowest you can do to your team and Yao!! I doubt Troy is going to continue knocking down those 3s. Why not tell Yao go out a bit more to guard him?? Oh because Yao didn't do that in the beginning ...so you punish him by taking him out and benching him didn't you?? Why did you put him back him like a min later?? Oh because now you realize how stupid it is to take Yao out to begin with after realizing the Pacers are attacking the basket with ease. This is the stupid coaching strategy i ever seen ...it's not just this one game...i seen the same shyt in LA!! I am beginning to wonder why Adelman does not win Championship.

Utterly useless without McGrady on the offensive end.

At the end of the game, I would have much preferred to have Brooks rather than Alston. Brooks can create his own shot and is a good outside shooter. He'd start with the ball, likely beat his man off the dribble, force a second defender to come to him and open up a shot for someone else.

    Alston ... well .... Sigh.

The starters took too many shots. Landry was 60% and have only 10 shots?
    An apparent selfish night.

You think Yao wasn't dunking that ball in the last position because he was thinking of laying it in? Give me a break.

I personally believe that last tip-in won't happen if Yao was there. That all there to it. It never good if your coach is forced hand by the other team.

Seriously man, I have the same feeling with Artest, he gets blocked almost every time going to the rim from help defense. He's so slow that help defense comes on the blind side every time
