armstrong! really?? I think he'll be the last one out of the bunch to fill that role. I think the right thing RA should do is go ahead and throw Hill in. he's now apart of the teams future, more so than JJ and Armstrong. Let him develop and give him time.

This is no knee jerk reaction but we would have to be the most frustrating team in the league. We win some games that you wouldn't expect us too and then we get one of the worst teams in the league at home and we play like that.

Granted the new players need time, its just disappointing and rather frustrating.

to put it into perspective though, Carl is having a really off night.

Its just painful i knew the whole time that tmac still had it. I was called an idiot by so many fans here when i said RA was the one with the huge ego not tmac RA aka mini hitlers ego cost us tmac and landry all we had to do was keep mac and landry and make the battier and scola for amare trade then were competing bi time ths year and next year we might win it all nxt year when yao came back. Its so hard to be a rockets fan RA over inflated ego is killing the rockets and lets all be honest here if we at least gave tmac a real chance to play we could of got more for him but i guess the hitler fans oops i mean adleman fans would say im wrong because 26 on 10-17 shooting is garbage and tmac is garbage

Hill has more potential, but he's having trouble so far in the NBa, i wouldnt throw him in there just like that. Amrstrong may not have the potential and is what he is, but with him you know what you'll get and he seems more aggressive.

    LOL are you lads serious

Kevin has played one game for us got to the line as expected passed the ball well, snuck some steals ans had an off shooting night. Off shooting nights are less likely when he gets comfortable i for one think this will work really well hopefully 1 of of 3 other arrivals plays well enough to earns some minutes but for me Kevin will be great for us.

Patience they just need to get used to each other and we will make a run i reckon

The trade was for next year. This year is a training camp for next season. If we make the playoffs, fine. It'll be playoff experience for next season. Martin's shooting will come around with playing time.

I just do not understand it. All year the Rockets have had trouble with teams from the Eastern Conference. They are 7-11 against EC teams this year. I cannot remember them being so bad against teams from the other conference.

The only explanation I can think of is that there are no real dominant centers in the EC, and having all those teams adjust to Yao took them out of their comfort zone. It forced them to play the Rockets' style of basketball and adjust.

This year they have no defensive post presence (still), and with no more Landry, have to depend on Scola to be efficient in the post offensively every game. He is to an extent, but is no where near as efficient in drawing fouls as Yao and he still has games where his array of lay-ups and dipsy-do's do not fall. As result, the Rockets have to run the wing-oriented game led by AB, Ariza, and now Martin at which they are not too efficient and which is the style of basketball most of the EC teams play regularly. They are in their comfort zone and can get hot and out-streak us as with what happened today (and has happened before this year).

If the Rockets are going to make the playoffs this year, they have to quickly get one of the new PF/C's, Armstrong/Hill/Jeffries, in some sort of rhythm with the team defensively. A presence is desparately needed there. On offense, they just have to force-feed Scola a bit more in the post (not just out of the PnR) and hope that one of their other frontcourt players can step up offensively (Andersen or one of the newbies).

There are 12 more games against EC teams this year for the Rockets. If they do worse than 8-4 I seriously doubt this team will make the playoffs.

Adelman, You do realize that you have some 7 footers out there now right? Freakin play them, why da hell is Battier playing a position he has no business playing in power foward!?  Another thing that pissed me off is why is David Anderson getting so much playing time? If this is truely a developmental year, play freakin Hill, Jeffries or Armstrong then! This aint gonna work tomm against the Hornets! Okafor and West will manhandle Anderson and Battier!

This loss was just due to bad coaching. Seriously, I don't care if Martin was cold, there was no way our team is less talented than the Pacers.

RA keeps preaching defense but he doesn't play the personnel that can do it. Hill, Jeffries and Armstrong are big men who could make an impact defensively and he didn't give them any PT. WTF was that?

At this rate either Hill or Armstrong will stay glued to the bench all season long.
