Ordinarily I would agree with ya tinman. But when you get the stuff from Daryl Morey and Rick Adelman it makes it more than just sour grapes from fans. But they both nailed it. Crap like the refs happen sometimes. But you gotta fight through it and not let it get to you. The Rockets have played hard and tough through some really crappy officiating and havent given up. Its commendable. Maybe tonight it started to wear on them.

I respect veteran posters here but it's disgusting to see them trying to occupy the moral high ground and accuse other posters of "whining" and blaming on the refs in a patronizing manner. I mean c'mon it's so obvious that the refs made a series of bad calls against us when it's still anybody's game. Even if we don't play exceptionally well doesn't mean we deserve all those biased calls against us early in the 4th quarter.

I'd have rather seen CBud, or even JT, get those Mac minutes last night. Heck, I'd have rather seen Garret Temple or Mike Harris in those Mac minutes! T-Mac surely ain't back. He looks like a Big Mac, not T-Mac. Looks exploded, not explosive. Worst of all, he looked lost on the court.

    Watched the game. Some thoughts:

Officiating was so one-sided that even the Denver players were laughing at them..DM was right about the playing field not being level!! Completely took Landry out of the game.

We were up big when TMac went in...his +/- was -10 in 7+ minutes...'nuff said. He was abused by Anthony and has no lateral quickness. Now I understand why RA hasn't played him as he is a drag on the team at this point.

This team has absolutely no quit in them...they're a joy to watch! They kept it competitive despite everything working against them.

Exactly right on Tmac, what do you do with the guy? He clearly needs ON COURT time to get better, but if the team wants to win, it is best if he doesn't play...

    Man....that is such a conundrum.

I just think it's a matchup issue. Put T-mac on any other 3 in the league except Lebron and It won't be a problem...Melo is too good for most SF to defend.

Battier didn't do much better, he still scored 38

He doesn't fit what RA is doing with the team - not sure how much is can't vs. won't...

I don't think RA or DM wil let him drag the team down or impact the development of players like Budinger and Ariza.

They can't move him soon enough!

second night of a back to back in one of the toughest places to play because of the altitude (i mean seriously physically playing the 2nd game in denver must be one of the hardest things to do)

the stuttering in the third killed the team, granted there were some travel calls in there being made but there were a lot of turnovers and denver was not playing well.

the inconsistency just upset me...outside of a bad kenyon martin call the nuggets pretty much were fairly officiated while it seemed that everytime the rockets put the ball on the floor a travel was called even when it wasnt. it was insane

It wasn't the refs, it wasn't even the Denver team. It was all Tracy's fault. ;)

His court time betrayed him and whoever made the decision to showcase him.... now the team is losing, TMAC is rotting.

no the hell he didn't, i watched how the game was going when he was in and he wasn't forcing any shots or nothing, he was just playing like a role player and letting everyone else do what they normally do.....everyone always seem to try to diss mcgrady, no matter how good or bad he does.....

we're 1-1 since he's been subbing in and mind you, the game we didn't have ariza we won, now that he returned from being suspended, we lost. it'd be different if ariza had a good game, but he sucked it up on the court. so if anyone's to blame, it's ariza.....

Usually I agree with you, but even you said earlier that this is a rebuilding/developing year. If we are to develop younger players, why not develop players coming off of surgery?

Agreed...I commented to my husband that the refs must have been all thinking about going home for the holidays because they called so many travelling fouls.

I don't mind it if refs call frequent fouls, so long as they are even handed about it; it almost seemed personal towards the Rockets, didn't? Bull and even Bill Worrell (!) commented on the travelling foul called on one Rocket, and then the play immediately following that made by the Nugget that had possession was a very noticeable travel, in plain view.
