I don't care how good or bad the officiating was. I just get sick of hearing people make excuses, even if they're valid ones. You think Adelman would be doing the team any favors if he went into the locker room and said:

"Hey guys, it's not our fault we lost, the refs just screwed us. Just keep doing what you're doing. As long as the refs don't screw us again. We'll be fine."

I don't want our coach to have that kind of mindset, and I don't want our fans to have that kind of mindset either. It creates an atmosphere where the players don't feel that they're 100% accountable.

Exactly. You played college ball, right? Tell me if you hear where I'm coming from.

    A few points.

    1. The foul calling was atrocious for Denver in the first half and way worse for us in the second.

    2. Not digging the rotation right now. Lowry can't guard Smith just like he couldn't guard Hamilton last night. This has not been a problem before lately.

    3. Chase continues to struggle being consistent. Love Chase though.

    4. Ariza needs less shots and less playing time. I don't care who gets the minutes, just bring em down a notch or two. Nothing drastic, just less.

    5. I don't want to hear how tired the Rockets are when Scola sits the entire 4th and Tracy only plays 7 minutes. Limiting Tmac's minutes is good, but we're taking it a little too far. 14 minutes won't kill us or him.... Hopefully.

    6. Brooks needs to attack more. Stop waiting until the 3rd before you even try Aaron.

One other thing. Generally, the more outside shots you throw up, the less you go to the free throw line. We attempted 28 three-pointers, while the Nuggets only attempted 12. Looking at those numbers, you could argue we were lucky the free throw disparity was only 12 (we had 20 FTA, they had 32).

Oh, and one other thing. Again with the being tired excuse. In case anyone doesn't remember Trevor didn't even play the last game.

Also, hearing this excuse now doesn't bode well for the next few games.

You are doing the complaints a dis-service to our complaints if you think this is about free throws. Its about a crucial stretch in the fourth quarter where we got ~6-7 turnovers and a technical in 8 possessions due to questionable officiating.

I didn't see the game, but judging from the response I see here, it seems that the refs are again becoming the focal point......

Too bad the NBA won't do nothing while so many people are complaining, on the other hand, I hope next game in Dallas, our players can get hyped up and release their anger against Dallas!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm done with Ariza as a first or second option. I don't care who it is instead, but I can't stand this guy taking the most shots of anyone on this team. And sadly enough, this is one of his "better" shooting nights.

Bob, its the same old tired ass song on this board after a loss, the refs. The refs didn't make the rockets shoot terrible from 3pt range. The refs didn't tell lowry to bulldoze in the lane without options. The refs didn't make the rockets put lowry on jr smith either. They lost without playing a great game. Its the way of the nba and its hard to win on the road.

Speaking of which, here's Adelman's take from his press conference.

"When things aren’t going your way and you get down, you have a tendency to think everything is going against you. They called a number of travels on us and Aaron went to the basket in the fourth and it looked like he got hammered, they came down and they get a foul. I think guys just got caught up in that. You have got to play through that. Especially on the road, I just think we didn’t have enough resolve or something. It was just like we didn’t have enough there to get over the hump or challenge it.”

Rockets' offense is simply not good enough to keep up with Denver's...but if we had Yao, we could've easily kept Denver under 100...Melo and JR Smith slashed their way to the rim what seemed like 50 times in the 1st half.

I wonder how much the refs won in Vegas cuz of this game... The refs should never be in control of a game like this one. This was as bad as it's been since the 05 playoffs vs the mavs
