Like Kyle with Chuck Hayes on the floor together is? I think we should get it over with and put in Shane and Lowry. The Battier people keep telling me his level of defense is enough to win us games. So how bad could he possibly be if you put in Lowry and Shane with Yao, Scola, and Martin? Unless he should be starting now either? In that case this should be the lineup cause least we can outscore people if Battier cant do anything anymore. Yao Scola Budinger Martin Lowry I cant do that though because the Shane crowd refuses to concede that Shane cant start, cant score, cant play defense. Then that Budinger could at least score. Thats balance. Three pointers from the SF and guard position. Ball movement and defense from the point guard like the Celtics. Scoring balanced with jump shots and creators towards the bucket. Thats what should be happening
Well, unfortunately, I couldn't watch most of the game because my family was having a get-together and they didn't get the game on tv... but I did catch the last 6 minutes or so. What I saw was Luis Scola make an attempt to get the team back in it on offense, but the Rockets defense just wouldn't let it happen. And then after Scola got the game to within 1, AB and Kevin Martin decided to start jacking up inefficient shots rather than go after the defense that just got it's 5th team foul. Although, Martin did go after them once, and it resulted in 2 free throws that he made, but then they went away from it again. I'm not going to pretend that those were the things that cost the team the game because I honestly don't know what went on during the rest of it, but it looked to me like this was the same exact team in the 4th quarter that they were in the first two games as well. They completely lose their minds, go away from what is working on offense, and forget to play defense on the other side. It's getting really annoying to see that every night.
I presume you are referring to the 5-8 shooting guard who's been asked to play the point against bigger and stronger players who man his position? Brooks is what he is and the Rockets will have to live with this. But it's not his fault that RA & DM have put together a team that will win the majority of its games by outscoring their opposition and not by stopping them. When the 3's fall for the Rox, they roll and are very good - when they don't, PROBLEM!
Let me guess..... ...your thread idea is going to be something along the lines of the team lacking identity.... ...or actually..... ....the team having forged an identity outside of Yao Ming (see last season) with unexpected success (figuratively)... ...and right now, management is in a quandary as to HOW to incorporate Yao into the new team.... ....while the team itself is wondering if it's even really necessary anymore. Am I close?
You're kidding, right. Brooks is being asked to play the point, but he's really a shooting guard? Brooks is a scoring point guard. He is not Calvin Murphy. Not even close.
I used to be a Kings die-hard fan and was critical of Adelman's decision on substitution back when he had a good team in Sacramento w/ Webber and Bibby running the team. People tend to criticize not his coaching skills, but his substitution and making decision based on what the other coach did. He seems to be outcoached by Phil Jackson in regard to substitution as well...that has always been under scrutinized. So i am not surprised if he keeps making dumb decisions again. Posting Chuck Hayes while your team is down by almost double digits?? WOW!!
Jeez...suck it up guys. This team will find an identity... Yao will improve Brooks will stop being a bonehead Scola will continue to beast on the offensive end...and be steve nash on the- watever he look ok..ok? Panic button? I've never heard of such a thing. You guys are acting as if winning is everything. In that case why don't you go cheer for some of the harolded "contenders" like miami or LA. But if you're a really Rockets- nay, a real basketball fan, take the godam good and leave it at that. And we're gonna win the next two-book it
Jonathan_Feigen Jonathan Feigen Rockets 107-94 loss to Nugs ended 45 mins ago. Aaron Brooks is heading up to practice court for extra shooting. Was 7 of 24 in past 2 gms. DD
LOL Brooks pulling a young Kobe...IMO he should go play NBA 2K11 instead, and practice on making "Good Passes". The way he played today warranted a solid D+.
Who cares what Dakota thinks? I like what Adelman said tonight in the post game session. He said in the fourth quarter, guys(Brooks) didn't look for Yao. Guys(Brooks) need to look for Yao when he's in the game. The #1 problem with this team is not Yao Ming or his 24 minutes. It's stupid Aaron Brooks! We need a new PG, not this brainless idiot. This guy is so bad, I'm missing Alston right now. Is Alston available? At least Alston could play D and run an offense!
Got it wrong buddy, Brad Miller deal was horrible. Brad Miller deal will haunt us all season long. I can care less of the ability to initiate offense from a center position, all I want is a center that can grab rebounds and /change some shots. The addition of Dampier justifies my position.
I haven't seen it yet. I hope he added Scola to the short list of players who should have been milked for all they were worth. Scola should have had 35 tonight, IMO. Some people didn't look his way when they should have.
Absolutely! I don't see why we don't feed Scola and Martin as much as possible, and Yao the rest of the time.
Wonder if Adelman is just realizing this or something. Here is an idea Adelman, if a player isn't doing what they should be doing then take them out of the game and put in a player that will. Loss is on you Adelman.
