and the turnovers have been abysmal the past 3 games. Can't expect to win when you're giving the ball away like that.
at this point, I think you can't blame it all on one player, it's a team thing our chemistry is just not right, the team is not clicking if our backcourt combo is not hot, we need consistency and I don't know how long RA is gonna fix it... too sad to start the season 0-3, maybe the three days off they can discuss it and do something about it... sigh...... I thought this team should have great chemistry.
Frustrating day as a Rockets & Longhorns fan. Hopefully Texans will make it better with a win come Monday. Still love my teams!
can aaron defend? no, too short can kmart defend? no, too skinny can luis defend? no, too slow can yao defend? no, too slow can miller defend? no, too old can battier defend? maybe a little, but definitely getting slower and older can hayes defend? maybe yes, but too short to get rebounds f**k, this team so DEFENSE
I think the team just came out to start the year way over confident. They have played like they can out shoot teams and can take it easy on defense. The problem is they just have not won to justify that.
IDK, it's to early to say. However, Ariza is playing well since the regular season started and has made some defensive plays to win games. NO is looking better than many ppl thought.
Yaoch is a disease. How many more seasons do we have to suffer from an injury prone star? As i've said from the get go, sure, we are deep but we lack a closer so expect a bunch of 2nd half/4th quarter loses.
I really don't care. If he keeps this up he should be gone. I think there is a such thing as a Coach getting worse. I think they start to get comfy, they have this false confidence or disillusion that everything will always be alright in the end. IMO this is what happened to Don Nelson, Only 3 games in but I have to wonder if Rick is down the same path. Don Nelson also had very odd rotations, and seemed to be set on playing certain players over others despite the other players playing well. Warrior fans were ecstatic when he finally left. I'm sure Adelman is thinking "Everything is going to be alright" because he's been coaching for so long...and he may be right we don't know. But this trend has been going on since pre-season and it's troubling. Even if we win the next 6 games you have to wonder if Adelman is the coach that can take your team to the finals.
I'd rather have Ariza at SF and Jermaine Taylor at backup SG than Battier at SF and Courtney Lee at backup SG. Maybe the front office knew that we had no chance to contend this year with Yao's minutes limited and decided to just save money with the Ariza trade.
Lee sucks..he's like a poor man's Matt Barns...we serously need a consistent rotation. And wtf is RA thinking trying to get Yao going with five minutes left after sitting out an entire quarter. Also, we need more Lowry, Brooks is too streaky. Bad coaching on our part did us in. And as for ppl ragging on Yao, just woooow. I mean did you forget who he was? Before the season started, we weren't even sure if he was going to be able to run. And now he's back and actually producing and improving gradually. If anything, blame this loss on Addle/Idle man, Brooks, general fail behind the three. But what ever, WE winning the next two games. NO are even more disorganized than the Rockets, and Yao is gonna kill the slow tempo Spurs. Brooks it
no you stop it. our team makeup is almost perfect. our first half of games are great, but in the second half, we always blow the lead. our guys need to actually try on defense and execute better in the second half. integrating yao into the team does play a role in this. because without him playing every game, this team has no identity. the rockets need to figure out something fast, or else this season might not be so good especially since the western conference has gotten better. the hornets are looking good, the freaking wolves are trying to do something, the warriors are off to a good start, and so are the kings. if we can put it all together, this team can be something special. remember last year, the cavs started out 0-3 and the finished with over 60 wins. i think we will be able to get it together later in the season and finish with a 5-7 seed. things will get better.
Rockets have no defense basically because the players for the most part are undersized and lack athleticism.
This wins the early award for dumbest post of the day. Anyone would take Melo for Brooks. But who in their right mind would take Brooks for Melo? Unless the opposing GM used to play for your team (a la McHale and Jerry West), you have to give up something to get something. Not to mention the fact that Melo has no interest in coming. Oh, and you forgot to release the caps lock
If Eric Dampier is the answer, I'm not sure I want to know the question... The time to panic will be around the end of the year.
