Good thing is we have two divisional games next. We'll be lucky to split these games coming up. If we do manage to beat the Spurs and Hornets...then I believe we have the Wizards, Minny, Indy, and NYK for the next 4 game.

We could go on a short streak...although Indy seems to have our number.

    ^^^ this!

i love me some chuck hayes , but why the hell are we running sets for him? he and JJ are situational defensive players
battier is getting waaaaay to many mins, i cant honestly think of how he contributed anything to tonights game.
brad miller should only play as a sub 2 yao on the b2b's that yao doesnt play

more j-hill- we need energy and rebounding, throw hill in. i dont see how he's gonna hurt us when we alredi givin up 100+ pts a night

we have the talent, but its being completly misued

    kill the zerg!!!

    You are 100% right

I was sitting at C120, row 10 and even I saw how disinterested the players were.

During the timeouts, they were daydreaming, not paying any attention whatsoever to Rick.

Brooks and Martin didn't say one word to each other during the time outs. Some beef brewing?

Also, Rick continues to not play the better younger players in favor of the old ass vets.

    Something needs to change ASAP!

Some peeps around be were yelling, We want Melo! Melo looked at them and nodded and started chuckling.

The Night started off okay. I think the halftime show put a damper on it. It sucked ass.

I think that's when the wheels fell off.

i may get villified for saying this

but that team had a younger, healthy though not as ready Yao Ming

and more important it had a then superstar in Tracy McGrady (despite the nonsense that followed since then and his rapid decline..he was a superstar for this team in 04-05)

also it had a much more defensive minded squad and identity

granted the team today has probably more overall talent that 04-05 team had the two best players in mcgrady and yao..and mcgrady that year is head and shoulders above anyone the rockets currently have on the squad now

the team isnt in shambles its the worst start the rockets have had since 99 and thing do need to be addressed though.

the biggest is trying to figure out how to properly work yao in...hopefully in december when he is revaluated he will get the green light to play regular minutes but not in back to backs or something...

after that its the defense, the defense in the first quarter was great but then after that it was pretty much not too good.

I guess its time for me to enter the conversation  . To me, its clear and it has been clear this team has 0 identity. I said it in the summer about the lack of versitility on the team. Now thats not all the blame because there is enough of that to go around, but i can see alot of that.

The rockets have a collection of pieces that can't coexist collectively as 1 unit. Let me explain this a little further. They have too many can't type of combinations. Chase and martin, lowry and brooks, chuck and jeffries, shane and lee, on and on. Why? They have too many one sided players. In an ideal situation, jeffries shouldve played whenever harrington played. He is the best defensive player the rockets have guarding that kind of guy? Why? Because he is that kind of overblown 3/4 type of player. The problem with playing JJ is that he's a very limited offensive player. So if he was to play tonight, that meant cutting scola minutes. Right now, scola is the rockets best offensive player. In a game like tonight, the rockets cant play JJ because now scoal is either on the bench or is playing center which is a huge no-no.

Shane and courtney should have played together when smith and carmello were in together, but they can't. Why? Shane won't do anything on offense anymore and courtney is avg at best. If the coach were to play courtney and shane together, who are the other 3 to make sure the rockets can muster enough points? Point is, the season is still long, very long and the rockets are going to have to figure it out real soon. Adelman will probably shorten the rotation I'm guessing, but until this team can be consistent in minutes, the players can't play consistent either. Players need a schedule just like when they go on the raod. Right now, they're just freelancing.

Pretty much. I said this team is no closer to contending than it was in 05 and my rationale was the same. Mcgrady and Yao in 05 were light years ahead of the best players on this team. When you have 2 of the top 15 players in the game regardless of position, that makes it a better team.

We need to make some sort of roster cutting trade.

brooks guy which was bullips had 10 points on 1-8 shooting. stfu u must not have watchd the game. melo and harrington killed us. it was the teams defense that suckd brooks was not really the problem. if 1 person is to be blamed its whoever was on harrington because he had open shots all game. so stfu little girl. its not like brooks gets all those pfs every game. it was just a bad game. martin sucks at defense to but for some reason everything is brooks fault. almost 4got bullips only had 3 assists as well so calm down little girl

last week i saw a thread on a lakers fan forum,,,they basically said we are the freaking jump-shooting team, a jump shooting team can't contend. end of story.

and especially when our shots are not falling, we are pretty much the GS warriors..no freaking defense.

Its in Carmelo's interest to play up the Rockets as a viable destination. But everyone knows he'd prefer NY or CHI, and so he likely won't sign an extension with us (that would certainly be a precondition for us).

We need to pair Yao with another superstar before his window closes!

Just use Melo as a rental and hope he signs the extension with us after a great start and the fear of upcoming CBA.

This is reminding me of the beginning of the Astros season.
