Is the Rockets going to play during the season?
I hope our team is going to play like great players not just players.
If we are going to play at winners during every game we can win most of our games, or we win 47 games and enjoy our selves. If we need to play champions then we win 60 games and fight to win every possible.

So far I see the team needing more leading killer killer!!! :p
Battier- not the great defender player I knew him!!! :p

Stupid. LOL Apparently you are in denial. Blinded by being a fan. I'm pretty sure you'll be one of those whiners once we start losing close games.

That's what I said, there was no need to take a shot, there were 11 seconds left, and the shot clock was turned off, Lee was running and they were chasing him but not fouling, why didn't he just hold on to the ball?

Actually it was .4 seconds. So technically we didn't lose on a last second shot. We lost on a millisecond shot.

Overall it was a good game, we are definitely the better and younger team, and it showed for the most part of the game(except for those last few minutes  ). The rockets just need to tighten up that defense and reduce their turnovers, and they should be just fine... I think they'll be ready for the Lakers on opening night!

    My observations:
    1. The Rockets are better than the Mavs.
    2. That "whatshisname" kid that barely made the team can really pass!
    3. C-Bud has found the range.
    4. Twenty four minutes means that Yao is not going to be playing much.
    5. Martin and Brooks are going to light up folks.
    6. Miller is a really important addition.
    7. The Rockets can run waves of talent at you.
    8. I always wanted Butler and the Rockets should have him instead of the Mavs.
    9. The Mavs and the Spurs are growing old.
    10. The Rockets are relatively young.

And most importantly, this was a meaningless preseason game.

    Thank you, and good night.

That was all Turner. He is a defensive minded coach and he went with the team he thought gave us the best chance to win. He was wrong on almost every substitution down the stretch. It was just one game and it is preseason. But make no mistake about it. We were trying to win and we loss. Dallas owned us at the end and that leaves a bitter taste in my mouth and I am sure it is even worse for the Rockets players. Fortunately I do not believe Scola can look much more pathetic. And Battier may but Bud will eventually beat him out.

Mostly I was happy with our Center and Guard play. Martin is the best player on the team and it is stupid to leave your best player on the bench down the stretch. That is just a bonehead coaching decision. Bigger than stupid. I hope Adelman will break the film out and show them how pathetic they played. We don't have an elite team talent wise but if we play smart and efficient without too many mistakes we can win against most teams. Tonight we showed how not to play down the stretch. We won't win 42 games playing like we did tonight.

Although Lee taking the ball out of bounds was a big mistake, he shouldn't be taking so much heat for that last defensive play. He got screened. If we point fingers it would have to be Budinger's fault. After Lee got screened, the positioning kept Battier from switching because he had to prevent a Nowitzki jump shot. But with only 0.4 left on the clock, once the ball is in the air everyone can converge on the pass. Unfortunately, Budinger, the only player in position to block off Marion, chose to stay on his man. Small mental mistake. He instinctively played the play like he normally would, not thinking about the time. Good learning experience though for our young players. We'll be the better for it once the games start counting.

What was that crap? It was horrible. Well they dominated the entire game only to blow it at the very end. I am encouraged because they continually outplay Dallas and San Antonio. One game without Yao and most of both with their backups. Still? Its odd their substitutions at times and matchups? I hope they wherent gaeplanning to play this game like a real one and trying to really win at the end? Thats not the guys out there at the end i expected. I know the coach wasnt there. The game was simply bumbled from the final minutes of the game on. The refs where always as usual horrible in the fourth and it never benifits us as usual. The Rockets fold at the end which is not acceptable come regular season. If Yao has to play one or two more minutes with 24 minutes already played? They need to go for wins. Put Yao in. I know its preseason but I hope thats what they do from now on in winnable games. Where was Martin? Did i miss something? Why wasnt Kevin Martin in the game?
