I know it's early, but we always rely on a streak or a spurt of wins for us to really get going. That's stupid, what if we don't get that this year? Boom, we will fighting for our lives just to get into the playoffs. You have to have a good start during the season to do good come playoff time. Then, you can have some rest closer to the playoffs with your stars, I mean 5 losses, 3 of those could have been easy wins. San Antonio game - just plain stupid, you let them come back and win Portland Game - That was another game in which we struggled, but we could have easily walked away with a win if we had some damn offense.. and this game - Poor 3rd quarter, the worst I've ever seen from a basketball team (yes I mean all kinds of basketball, high school, college, d-league, nba, etc.) god, it just pisses me off, this was the game in which I saw absolutely no effort, it's like we wanted to lose the damn game..
Dude.. Read t_mac1's comment... Some of you guys have a serious hate for McGrady, the man barely played 30 mins and took less than 12 shots, with a couple of steals and blocks on 1 freakin leg...
Yao is always injured and we still win. What are you talking about? There are two players we have proven that we can't win w/out... 1.T-Mac 2. Rafer. We proved many times over this team can win w/out Yao. We need Mutumbo back for the next time Yao goes down.
Ron, we love "no layups" but it shouldn't apply to you!!! Winnable game. Loved the hustle from AB and the bench buddies. Just missed a few too many shots. Admirable effort without Yao.
Landry has regressed. He does nothing impressive anymore except an occasional dunk. I really want a big PF that can block shots and play small ball center if needed. Nothing against scola and landry and Hayes, but Rox need a big 6'10" guy....like stromile swift...hahaha
Donno why some of you guys keep bashing Tmac for tonight..He had a fairly good night IMO. I hope he keeps this up.
Like tmac1 said a few pages back, he needs to make the post his bread and butter. He reverted back into parking lot TMac after hitting that lucky heat check.
When we are missing Yao & Batman & tmac is playing on 1 leg I don't expect the rockets to bat 1.000 However, our offense was stagnant.
I guess, but he hasnt played really well for a while now. Good thing rox didnt overpay him. Good job Moray
overall, i was ok with the loss. the rockets fought hard till the end. i thought t-mac played better than i expected. i like how they limited his minutes. also, i thought artest played well but could've scored more if he made his free throws and those easy lay-ups. although yao was out, we could've came back but scola, landry, and hayes were all in foul trouble. scola could've produced more. our offense was not there but we did a decent job of hanging in there. anyway, we'll bounce back. i hope yao comes back on friday against the wizards..GO ROCKETS!! Also, terry was just on fire tonight. the defense did all it could but he was just playing great.
T-Mac is a shell of himself. I mean - in '06-'07 at least he had his shot. Something happened to his mentality after the injuries last season, he isn't the same. I'm as big a McGrady supporter as anyone here... but it's sad seeing him now when you look at what he was from 00-06. It isn't just the injuries. He came back in '05-'06 and was a monster (anyone remember him putting up 40 his first game back? Torching everyone in the All-Star game?). He just needs to shut it down and get his mind and body recuperated. We can survive without him at this point... we need Tracy to be T-Mac to go ANYWHERE with this team. It's always been his play that motivated this franchise... the way he looks out there.. I didn't think he'd ever reach this kind of low. He is ONLY 29 - I don't care if it's an "old 29" - it's obvious it isn't just his body holding him back. Freaking Vince Carter is outplaying every guard on this team - and he's doubled every time he touches the ball. WTF is going on??
What i don't understand is why Scola barely got any shots in the second half even though he was the lead scorer at halftime. You gotta go to the hot hand darn it! Instead we got forced shot after forced shot from Artest. Artest was great rebounding and defending but offensively he really needed to pass the ball.
