RIck adleman is an idiot. Why he keeps sticking with AB is beyond me. I think cause he pushed to draft him, he is boneheaded in letting him be a starter. And why o why did he leave scola on Dirk when dirk was raping him?
Poor game. We suck on the road. I'm not really surprised there, just really disappointed. We need a real PG. Lowery is better than Brooks but still not the answer. Besides, Artest 0-5 from the 3 line?
OMGZ! OMGZ! with the way we are playing.........lol. yea, look at our last...10 games, we were playing like garbage. whatever. I couldn't be less nervous playing SA or Portland at home or on the road. the only team falling apart worse than the Spurs is the team they beat tonight. How many times has Houston had HCA the last 10 years? and how many times has it worked out for us? HCA is not going to win us a series. I really hope it is SA.......and watch Yao wipe his ass with Duncans jersey on his own court. now, get back to your extremely over hyped unnecessary panic attack.
Why did we even play? Why didn't we just forfeit the game? Rockets: "Hey Dallas, we don't feel like playing tonight. True we came this far this season, and we only have four division championships, five would be nice... but i think San Antonio deserves their sixteenth division title more than we deserve our fifth." Mavericks: "I have a better idea. Make it a close game, then stop playing defense and stop giving the ball to Yao in the second half. We'll bribe the refs to make some bad calls while we're at it. Nobody will notice you threw the game away." Rockets: "Hmm... it's a deal."
Yeah that's true. Yet, games like this severely dishearten you when you dredge up our past playoff failures and we need all the advantages we can get to exit the 1st round this time. I don't like "hoping" for other teams to lose to make up for your own teams failures but that's sorta what it is tonight. The spurs get the memo apparently, let's hope the blazers do.
What a dagger. This kills our confidence and our home court in the second round, and maybe even the first. I saw that one beautiful lob pass to Yao while they were fronting him and thought for a minute maybe we'd finally solved it. But then we never tried it again. I just don't understand it. And Wafer should be in the game instead of Battier/Artest when he is being fronted to give us driving ability. If they are out fronting Yao nobody is going to be under the basket to stop the drive! Rick has to do something. He can't just let our offense depend on Artest's erratic jumpers when Yao is being fronted.
no i don't miss him at all. i don't miss losing by 40 points in game 7 vs the Mavericks. Oh, so if we had T-mac? then what? Jason Terry will still kill us.
Yao did not step up as what he was supposed to. It is a frustrating loss, just frustrating. P.S. look at my signature
What a meltdown! Now we will lose the HCA and if this kind of meltdown continues into the playoff, this is not good.
It's all coach RA's fault It's all coach RA's fault In the begining of the 3rd quarter, both Terry and Dampier got 4 fouls. Luis stole a ball and got a charge. Everything looked good. Then AB stopped passing the balls to Yao and let Yao fight inside and get offense fouls. AB and Ron killed Yao's momentum and then Rockets falled apart. It must be a coach decision. They should go through Yao every time. It's the most effective way to play. It's so simple. But coach RA wants to "share" balls. That's his system. I don't blame AB, a second year role player. AB probably excuted the coach's plan or the coach was losing the control of his players.
substitutions were the problem -putting scola on dirk not once, not twice, but three times after each time he was scored on easily and each time chuck and landry proved to be better defensive options. Adelman also took too long to sub him, letting dirk get off multiple shots before finally saying its enough -putting the starters back in to start the 3rd, i know that's his thing, but adelman should have rode landry/chuck/won, etc the guys who got the big lead and let them extend the lead. Leaving Yao in for extended minutes without even using him. I kow Adelman isn't the guy on the court, so some of you will say it's the player's fault, but think about this. What happened if the rockets went away from Yao under JVG? JVg would call a timeout and make it clear they needed to go back to him, and sure enough they would, maybe they'd get away from him again eventually, but at least they didn't completely phase him out. Now, you're seeing houston go away from Yao, taking timeouts, and still not going to him. That tells me Adelman isn't telling them to do so. And the reporter even confirmed it when she said Adelman was all motivational and not strategical during TWO timeouts in a row, while we lost the lead. Fire Adelman, dont sign ron, get tmac back, use ron's money to get a big and long body, hire Mario Elie or Avery and this wont happen next year.
