Looks like Denver has nothing to play for in this game so we are playing Portland without home court. If we cannot find a way to beat Portland, a team we have dominated all year and only beat us with a miracle Brandon Roy shot, I don't think we will ever win with this team. T-Mac is not here anymore to blame for our post season failures so if Yao can't raise his level of play in the post season and find a counter for fronting, his ass should get the same treatment McGrady has experienced over the past years. Blow the whole team up, Yao and McGrady both!!!
Based on this season game, I am always doubting the ability of Ric. He cannot manage to control all the teamplayer and make right solutions in the game. How can he be a coach? I hope he could learn sth from past lessons and do well in play-off. Good luck to Rocket!
yao also got front when jvg as our coach,but thats not a problem,we have a healthy t-mac.its ra's fault or we need a real pg can pass and run our offence.get out of here,brooks..
Good sentiments, but honestly it is all on the players. Don't expect any amazing coaching adjustments by RA in the playoffs. If we do well, it will be because the players perform on the court, not because a great decision was made in a time out, or a great game plan was instituted, or RA out coached the coach on the other team.

RV6, all im saying is because of the way the rox are built, they can make poor defensive teams like dallas and utah look like top 2 defensive teams. Also you talk about the strength of kidd, but he shouldn't be able to guard shane in the post. This team is built on fragility. I think Yao is a really good player and im not blaming the loss on him, but in the playoffs, your star is going to have to log some big minute games. Im talking 38-40 minutes if need be. In the 4th after resting for most of the 3rd, he was dragging. Bass got a rebound that looked like the utah series 2 yrs ago. Then he gave no help to lowrey on terry, and didn't even raise his arms. Brooks didn't play his best, but since tracy and rafer is gone, he's the next whipping boy it seems. Ron and Yao going out in the 3rd hurt also. This team has warts and some teams can exploit these warts. Its nothing to be ashamed of, its just the truth. They can beat Portland and they should, but they never was going to beat la anyway.

wow, you certainly just loving at any chance to talk **** to me huh? did i say the rockets wouldnt win int he playoffs? Did i say the season was over? did i say they sucked? that's not a knee jerk reaction at all, it was my opinion of what happened during the game, which i think are all valid observations several other none knee jerking posters share. As for my last paragraph, those are views i've held for the MAJORITY of the season. Maybe you don't agree with me, maybe i'm not right, that's all fine, but don't try to label me as a knee jerker when i stand by those suggestions whether we win or lose. I'm the one who even predicted we'd play portland a while back, you can see i bumped the thread, so we're practically where i though we'd be, i dont even have a reason to have a knee jerk reaction....
There is no solution to fronting,we need a Camby or a David Lee who can play at the 5/4 to force the other teams to adjust their defensive game plans while giving Yao relief. We need a McGrady replacement either at 2/3 or an elite PG. Even if we do get a finisher at the 2/3 spot,we will still need a starting 1. Lots of holes to cover. Ron does have some value but signing him to a long contract and/or throwing big bucks at him will be a big mistake.
Yao Ming is a top 5 player in the NBA and you can ABSOLUTELY depend on him in the clutch.... NBA FINALS, here we come.
People get too excited which sets them up for a major disappointment every time. We are a 2nd tier team,nothing more than that.
