I stopped watching in the second quarter right after the Rockets stopped playing. This team doesn't have enough talent to coast; they have to play full tilt all the time. That didn't happen tonight. They looked like the team playing a back to back. The Jason Terry show is just ridiculous; he simply doesn't do this against other teams. I watch alot of Dallas games. If I was coaching, I would double him and not even let him get a shot off.

One more thing, this was a coaching breakdown as well.

The Mavs do not have a single guy you need to double team.....if you do, they have the floor surrounded with shooters.

Just play them straight up, and when they go to Dirk, stand straight up, when he does his step back step towards him.

They can be beaten, but the right scheme would help.

I did not watch the game. Did we double Dirk? That would be a dumb scheme in that they move the ball very well and have tremendous shooters. To beat Dallas, let Dirk have his, but don't let anybody else get hot.

Yes, there were times we doubled Dirk, Terry, lots of times the D rotated screwing up and giving them wide open shots.

You play Dallas straight up, and agree, let Dirk shoot and make everyone else stand around.

You are quite correct of course!
To me this game showed that Coach Adelman is not quite the coach we we have been praising recently.
I wonder DD if we were also short on talent, especially missing our stars? :p

Shane just stops the flow with his stand still spot. He is the reason the rockets are so predictable.Every body pitches in slash/cut/post up and they see him just wanting to shoot so they want to the same. If he is the leader then we aint ****. I had a heart attack when kidd blew by him for a lay up. The highest paid active rocket. C-bud is becoming a battier from the first half that I watched.

it's a bit of a fluke on their shooting and it happens a couple of times a year to every team. but our d really sucked.

All year long against the good teams.

we need mcgrady or someone like him (if you want to trade him).

this team is fun to watch sure. but soon fun watching without winning isn't fun anymore.

maybe if tmac comes back healthy and can generate #'s and a trade can be made with battier and someone else....we could be a 8 or 9 in the west.

    maybe

Hell, after that performance, I'd bring Jason Terry over to my house and let him **** my sister.

(BTW, that's another quote, not a real-case scenario)
