From the little bits I saw, I thought we played decently when Brooks was around (not winning basketball, but not blowout level) and just awful when Lowry was around, but that's to be exected as there will be nights when one of them plays bad. Unfortunately, Brooks got called for stupid junk, and combined with the Mavs just making some crazy shots, was just a bad game.

overall, the only thing I'm worried about is now we'll have a thousand idiotic high schoolers who will start whining for McGrady all over again.

Close game...so how many folks still think we're on a 50 win pace?

I agree.....McGrady isn't the solution to every Rocket problem

But lets be honest with ourselves.....If McGrady played tonight, could the game have been any worse?

this loss has nothing to do with McGrady not playing and everything to do with Brian Cook playing.
he needs to be packaged with whomever it is we trade be it tmac, battier, or (for beaner) yao. get riddy rudy.. i mean cook. almost looks like a tanking game.

We wouldn't have won this game with him, and might as well let him rest and recover.

50 wins? No. .500? Sure. And if we're .500 by the end of December, I'll be content.

Tmac should feel lucky for not playing tonight. Otherwise, the loss would be on him.

a 30 point blowout might become a 15-20 point blow out. I can't imagine Tmac stop Mavs from scoring after missing so many games and defense being his weak points.

I am 36 and have been a Rockets fan since I was 8. I am Rockets fan and a fan of McGrady. I went to a game in Dallas 2 years ago or so and the Rockets were getting pounded. McGrady went nuts in the second half and scored like 40 + for the game. It was great because was siliencing the Dallas crowd. God, I was thinking about that performance tonight.
When he is on no one can guard him. Now, I don't know if he will ever get to that level again, or even he can earn his paycheck, but you know damn well a one legged McGrady would have helped this team tonight.

And McGrady would love to run Rick's offense, he is an outstanding passer with a high Basketball IQ. I swear the way all of you gossip is more like sewing circle.

No, McGrady in his first game back after nearly a year off would not have made a damn bit of difference.

Though, a healthy McGrady gives Dallas fits. Hope we can see that sometime this year.

McGrady isn't coming back to this team so let's just drop that.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's gone with one or two of our young good-contract guys for whomever Morey is targeting, but since I don't know that, let me just say, the Rockets played as if they just wanted to get home, sleep in, and wake up for Thanksgiving dinner.

The Rockets with Tmac = The Titans with Vince Young

These current Rockets without Tmac = the Texans

Your right......we certainly would have lost.

    But that wasn't my point.

It seems as if McGrady gets the blame for every Rocket fault.....but you can't put this one on him.

    Very little effort
