Why do you guys seem to be shocked?!

    This is the small ball!

When you can run and make shots, everything looks good. When you can't, this is the result.

Yes, the team stunk it up. But just like Rafer shooting bricks every game, Battier always scores only 3 to 9 points in 35 minutes. Now it looks like he is too slow to play defense also.

    Total team loss...

First 1 1/2 quarters were flawless. Everything was going in, Defense was solid. Then bam I dont know what happend. I knew when we gave up that 12-0 run to end the Half it was going to be tough.

    Tough loss

This games shows us at what level the Rockets really is this season. Keep playing like this, we will end up being 8th-11th in the west. And I don't like it.
As I said before, the problem is that no one in this team can be expected to improve a lot this season. They are all playing well, according to their abilities. So such a future looks inevitable.

Cbud and Brooks are not one dimensional players. What game are you watching? They can both shoot the trey, the midrange, and drive to the basket.

Our worst defensive game of the season. Gave out 122 points at 55% shooting. wow. Where is our defense going? we are always at the top these past seasons, we played like the freaking knicks!

to me, there is no much to analyze here and not much lesson to be learned.

when we get out-rebounded by a wide margin, we will lose.

    you cannot teach size.

our defense looked bad later in the game because they're getting all the rebounds inside. similar things happened in the 1st game in portland, too.

yes, the mavs made adjustments and we had to go into a half court set. not that adelman didn't want to make more adjustments, it's really that there wasn't too much he could adjust to. that is the difference b/w the mavs (or any good team) and our team.

adelman is a great coach. but even a world-class chef can't do much and make a feast if all he has are bread and tomatoes.

David Andersen looks uncomfortable defending. His hands up in the air defense often times it looks to me as if he's avoiding contact for fear of fouling. He isn't assertive defending and is always reacting. At least that is how I read his body language.

Yep...the Mavs have size and they have the rebounding and defense to take us out of transition and force us into half-court sets.

As much as it pains me to see it, there's no shame in losing to the Mavs on their home floor. They are a good team and a tough matchup for us.

It doesn't help that Jason Terry shoots lights out everytime he plays the Rox.

I must say, I attended the game and the atmosphere was horrible, almost no energy except at that run in the second quarter and the stadium just doesn't get loud. I'm happy that we have TC and that alot of fans care about the team there.
