We didnt come out to play last night.
We couldnt defend the alley hoops
Dallas' length was to much for us. We were to focused on Dirk getting the ball.
To many open lanes because of bad rotations on D.
AB wasnt looking to share, I think he is the reason we lost in the end, his costly turnover by cross court passes. Lack of D, and his dribble drive is rusty.
    second unit was horrible.
We stopped going to Kmart... I am not sure why.
Also, Rick took to long to sub in bad players...

AB plays like end-of-the-line Steve Francis.

Dont forget we had Chandler, until Jordan backed out of the deal at the last minute.

I understand your frustration with us getting a center. For the past 3 years I think they still believed Yao would be ok. That is what the Drs told them so they went with that and didn't want to spend big money on someone to be a backup. They tried to get better at other positions of need. We did that but then Yao went out once again.

So here we are again, left with no real center to patrol the paint and stop some of these layups. I think Morey has learned his lesson and will go out and get us 1 if not 2 bigs. Now that all depends on if someone is WILLING to trade with us. I am hoping so.

Yeah, that damn Jordan is such a diva...

It's not frustration so much as resignation to the inevitable. Last season should have shown Morey that he needed to go get some insurance for Yao especially after looking foolish on trying to depend on David Andersen. And forget what the Drs were saying because common sense should have pointed out that their track record wasn't exactly pristine having been wrong about Yao on more than one or two or three occasions. So to spend the offseason basically doing nothing to address this critical area of need except for a futile PR chase after Chris Bosh, signing Brad Miller and flirting with Eric Dampier is so disheartening especially after watching other teams like the Mavs and Spurs consistently go out and get big men. I think the problem here is that they (Rockets) keep swinging for the fences in trying to land a big name fish while what is needed here is a more modest approach. But that would require that this organization possess a clear idea of what type of team it wants to field and I simply don't believe that is the case with this organization at this time.

    Cool Story Bro-

    Pics or it didnt happen-

First of all, Im not going to ask mavs players to take pictures with a guy wearing all Rockets gear. Plus I was with one of the beat writers for the Mavs so I had to act all professional like.

My friend is the intern beat writer for the Dallas Mavericks and so he took me out last night to the game and out afterwards here in Dallas.

Had drinks last night with JJ Barea, Roddy B, Ian Mahinimi, and Peja was there too but he is kind of a d&*%. JJ is actually really cool and easy to talk to.

I asked him about what it is about the Rockets that just makes him go in beast mode. He said the defense doesn't put very much pressure on the backcourt so the defense is really easy to penetrate.

Not much insight here, but I agreed and told him to take it easy on the Rockets next time. If he drops 30 pts on the the Rockets next game I guess you guys can blame me.

-Also Flava Flave showed up but never got out of his car. He was in town for the super bowl and I guess what trying to park where we were to go to the Ghostbar.

-Cool story bro I know but at least I didnt start a new thread for this and heard first hand from the "enemy" that opposing guards' eyes light up when they see the Rockets are in town.

Wow, what a roller coaster of a game...Went last night and there were very few Rox fans, but that's ok, still had a blast...

My observations is probably the same as others:

    1) WTF is wrong with Bud, Hill & AB...
    2) K Mart is the real deal...damn he's good..
    3) Refs Sucked last night...homer refs...
    4) RA: Stick w/ the f'n lineup that got you back in the game...
    5) To many missed opportunities/easy buckets...

It was a tale of two halfs...I can give a little bit of slack bc they were on the road against the Mavs on a back to back...I thought they would lose bc of that, but they had their chances...to come back like that was pretty sweet...I was the only Rox fan in my section and my girl (mav fan) was hitting me bc I was yelling...a mav fan next to us was saying wtf is wrong with the rox...the team is just thrown together, which I can't argue...

Overall, proud of my boys, wish we could have won...but at least I got a free taco from Taco Bueno...

Where were you at? I had to sit in the "platnum" level last night for the most part and I dont think Ive ever witness that much douche baggery in one night. Rockets fans think that Houston has bad fans... good God.

I was in Sec 313...we spotted a few fans sprinked throughout the AA Center...I 've been to games before and those times, the Dallas fans were major dbags/a-holes...last night, not so much...pretty tame where I was...

I wanted them to win so bad to shut everyone up...but I got two tshirts, thunderstix, a two tacos...silver lining I guess...lol...

Two t-shirts???... Mav's t-shirts??... come on man. burn em.

lol... nah, I know you mean though, the majority of the people up here in North Texas really only go to Mavs games because the Cowboys season is overwith. I dont have nearly the hatred I have for the Spurs though from living in central texas/Austin area.

Still, I got to meet a bunch of the players and had a chat with JJ so I guess there was silver lining for me too. Too bad I hate Taco no Bueno.

Aaack! and this is coming from a guy who's, what, 5' 8"? There's no reason our guards should not be able to handle Barea or Terry, though Terry didn't really light us up which was a relief.
