I agree with the poster above. We are so far away from championship contention, that this game was no contest from the start. Kevin Martin has built himself a reputation as one of the league's premier floppers. And there was an awful lot of complaining about the officiating going on in this game. The Rockets were simply out-matched, out-sized, and out-played. To me, the identity of the Houston Rockets is in deep jeopardy. The great Rockets teams have always come with a dominant big-man, and this team is no where near having or developing an anchor in the middle. It started with Elvin Hayes, then Moses Malone in the 70s. Ralph Sampson in the early 80s, and Hakeem Olajuwon from the rest of the 80s and 90s, until the passing of the torch to Yao Ming. Even in between, we've had players like Dikembe Mutombo and Charles Barkley controlling the paint. One could argue that Adelman has never had a dominant center save for his 1st year in Houston with Yao. But how long will it take for us to climb back to the status as one of the league's better defensive teams? 68 points by the Magic at the end of the 1st Half. I want to see a team where our offense is ignited by the defense. And it won't start until we have a defensive stopper in the middle. Chuck Hayes is doing an admirable job, but he should be playing the 4. Not many people can stop a Dwight Howard, but at least someone that can slow down opposing big men and stop players from driving freely into the lane. AB with another horrible game, lowering his trade value (as well as the value of his next contract) even more. It was good to see PPat and TWill get some playing time late in the game. Budinger was great scoring off the bench.
Agreed. I love Brooks! Wanted to give him few games to prove himself again, but he has wasted all that. It's time for T-Will or Ish to get his minutes... They won't do worse than him because at least they create shots for others.
Rockets are one Portland 2nd half rally from being 5 games out of the 8th seed(really 6, tiebreaker) and are 12th in the West for the time being. If the Clips win then we are tied with GS again for 11th and two games ahead of the Griffins. If GS wins then 12th is all ours and 3 games ahead of the Clips. We are only 1.5 games ahead of Charlotte and 2 games ahead of Milwaukee. We can all see where this is headed.
Haven't got the chance to watch the game but gotta say I didn't expect us give the magic a fight...just not in their league..
If you play with energy and play with passion no matter what minutes you are given it sends a message to the fans and coaching staff. It tells them that you want to succeed and you want "WANT" to play. You have to earn your minutes in this league and from what ive seen from him his lack of energy and concentration doesnt deserve rewards of playing time.

the guy has a skillstet that noone else on the team has. everyone goes about their game differently and he seems alot more calm and relaxed on the floor then everyone else. but that doesnt mean he oesnt care. if the rockets knew he played like u think he plays do you think they would have traded for him?
Not Rockets as whole. Brooks!!!! Scola, Martin, Hayes, Lowry still try their every other night. I can see frustration on Hayes face. I can see Scola getting mad for missing shots. I can see Martin trying to keep the scoring going I can see Lowry trying to give all he got. Rest, I am not so sure..
Grow up, the entire team sucks right now, did you miss the first quarter where the starters gave up 30? It is not one guys fault the entire ****ING TEAM DOESN'T PLAY DEFENSE !!! DD
