We are in desperate need of change. A new look with a couple of different pieces may spark this team. We desperately need a center to man the middle, and our point guard play has been very spotty over the last 7 games.

Morey's surely very active in trade talks, but we don't need another lateral move. RA's in desperate need of a game-changing 2-way player... difficult to come by, but he should have his sights set on G. Wallace, or possibly Iggy.

Patterson was the lone positive tonight...

Idk, I've just seen Melo play recently and he just seems unmotivated. I'm starting to think I wouldn't even want that guy for half a season.

Scola is in a slump or his early playing was a good month. I think we should trade him while his value is real high now. Its sky high. He is older at 30 years old but not too old for teams not to want him. Decent contract and he is a black hole on defense. Patterson is just losing his valuable playing time and development to Scola. This is the kind of guy who is better with more playing time. We need to start to givving it to the young guys like Patterson. (News Flash!) YAO ISNT COMING BACK. Rebuild a little by starting youth and trading some veterans for stars or guys who are younger and play defense in other positions. Some upside. I am not talking about Terrence Williams type upside. More like Cousins Upside, Hibbert, Top pick next year, something. Martin and Scola are fools gold for teams not competing. theyare complimentary players for Yao at peek form. We do not have a Yao at peek form nor will we ever again. So we might to start considering that.

Every interview I hear from RA concerning JHill and the other young guys is that they don't play with "consistency". But the truth is NOTHING is consistent with this team! Even our vets aren't consistent. The only things you can count on with this team is Kmart will score through 3 quarters and Battier will give you all he's got. That's it.

Oh, I dont care if he gets traded here or if he comes here and leaves. We have so many problems fix I don't envy Morey. Season lost no matter what we do this year. Blazers are in our same boat and they are winning; we cant catch up to them.

I agree with you, with the exception of the word "desperate."

Moves made out of desperation usually suck long-term. I'd like to think that Morey knows this season is done, regardless of whether we make the playoffs or not, and he's patiently waiting for the BEST opportunity that will set us up for next year and the future.

Rotations are even inconsistant. I hate the leagues refs because refereeing is also inconsistant from night to night. On nights when Martin gets his calls? He is real effective. On nights they have their marquee teams in town? Rockets get screwed by star power every single time.

This is pretty much spot on. Every player we have goes through peaks and valleys.

At one point Chase looked like he didn't even belong in the NBA...then recently he's looked much better. At one point Lowry looked like a top 10-15 pg...now he just looks mediocre.

That's what star players do though. They give you good performances nightly. They carry guys while they are in a slump and elevate guys when they are playing well.

Kmart is at most a complimentary player. Plays little defense and doesn't do much in the 4th. Same can be said about Scola.

The major problem I see with this team is too many guys like Hill who aren't experienced enough to make a real difference on the court. I believe JVG was spot on tonight when he said what they really needed to do to turn things around but that's not what DM has been assembling. Oh well, tomorrow they get Utah.

TWill and Patterson need to play more minutes the rest of the season. They are young and the only way they can learn is through playing time. We already know what Miller, Scola, and Battier can do. Scola and Battier should be trade bait. Miller should retire. I don't understand why Rick no trust in these young players. You put a athlete on Scola who won't fall for his fakes and you get no production from him.

One thing that was consistent last couple years was out hard work. That is not there anymore. We play energy less. No ball movement. No hustle. We are used to seeing our team give more than their talent. Right now, we are not even performing to level of talent we have.

I think we're going to wind up with the best incoming PG and C Morey can get. Either that or Iggy or Granger. Whatever. We'll need to do something just to sell tickets. Every current Rocket is on the table-- and playing like they could care less. I'm still rooting for these guys, even though this entertainment is a sure way to sink into major depression.

Yeah not only for the reason you guys are stataing should the young guys play. Also to improve their games and knowledge in whats gonna be a losing season or 500 season at best. To also let our draft pick status start to count. I dont remember did we trade our draft pick for Twill? if we did? We are stupid. We need a better draft position though and then to trade some veterans away from a team that is built for Yao Ming. Yao Ming is done. You cant build this team for a guy who is DONE as a player.
