He definitely is better than that little power hungry tyrant, however, could we possibly be even better with someone who could make adjustments quicker, and create more plays where the offense is easier to come by running players off of hard screens, off of the ball screens and curls being set? I sometimes see this when we run Chase off of a screen and he receives the ball at the free throw line and normally sinks the shot. But, it just rarely happens.
IMHO they're pretty even. RA's system is godly but in terms of ingame coaching JVG blows him out of the water. Ideally we'd have JVG as RA's top assistant to take care of defense, playcalling and subs while running RA's system.
We've got Rick Adelman bashers now? This team wouldn't even work without Rick Adelman. Can you imagine Van Gundy drawing up offensive sets for this team? How many points per game do the Rockets currently average?
Every win counts....and the Clippers are not low rent anymore....watch what happens when Blake Griffin gets back....they may make the playoffs. DD
You know, I noticed that too. I can recall Bull saying some things about Ariza's three point attempts versus actual baskets for a while last month, then those comments suddenly stopped. Wonder if they were told to stop? Ariza's game didn't suddenly get better or anything.
Coach Adelman once again shows his coaching weaknes- poor substitution- not a good coaching performance, on this occasion. Also a failure to notice that Ariza isn't shooting very well!!!
You are delusional coming into this season, with the players we have right now, did you think we would be 17-12 because i know atleast 75% of "red nation" didnt think so.
I think we had a great shot at being very competitive. Because the same team that took L.A. to 7 was returning with the exception of Von and Artest. Maybe most of the Laker-loving media didn't think it, but I didn't put it beyond their reach.
I love this team to death, and I'm not so disappointed by tonight's loss. Guys, Orlando has been pretty good this year, and we simply had no answer for Dwight or all of the offensive weapons they have. I also thought that Dwight was classy for just walking away, so kudos to him. Come on guys, stay classy.
I guess people are pissed because the Magic didn't play all that well this game. I mean, Ariza, Andersen and Battier could have built a castle with their bricks, and yet we were only down by less than double digits. It was a completely winnable game against a legit title contender. Unfotunately boneheadedness in both RA and Ariza cost us the game. This game is definitely a case of the Rox beating themselves.
jeez, talk about over reacting, we are 17-12 with no stars (unless u count 8 minutes of mcgrady try to get back into rythm as a star) and Adelman is a horrible coach, his system doesn't work, we can't beat better teams, we have had one of the toughest schedules so far and have beaten teams like dallas, LA, Utah, Cleveland, i guess they are not good teams? I think the team has been playing so well people are back to expecting us to be in contender status and when we lose to one of the best teams in the league who happen to be loaded with talent (howard, lewis, Carter, Nelson) now everyone panics, calm down everyone, they are playing on the 2nd night of a back to back and this is like the 3rd back to back in like 2 weeks.
Trevor is now officially on my black list now, if he continues to play like this and piss me off, get into my head like tonight, I want him go. I feel sorry for Tmac, who could've saved us. I feel sorry for RA, for not being flexible on Tmac, Ariza thing, he should've benched trevor and let tmac play and instead, he stick to his original plan and that cost us.
You forgot the Mavs. Altho it did take us 3 games to figure out if you bit Dirk in the elbow, you will win. As for tonight's game, it was our 4th btb this month, our 6th game in 9 days & on the road against a top notch team. We were without 1 of our rotation players also. The Rox had a case of tired legs & Ariza wasn't the only 1 to miss 9 shots. It would of been nice to win anyhow, but we played to the end & that's all you can expect. I'm proud of the Rox!!
True, our schedule really kills us off the court, saw Lowry's twitter and it said he arrived in Orlando in midnight like 2 am then headed to the hotel with super tiredness. Back-to-back game against the one of elite teams in the league and we were still able to rattle their cages and cut the deficit down to only 2 points, a little bit disappointment came from what Trevor brought to the game, nothing but BRICKS, thanks trevor, you better off practicing harder than anyone else on this team on your shooting skill, oh, your dribbling skills as well.
I defended Ariza's play yesterday, but I am starting to see an attitude problem. I hope he doesn't think he is Kobe, which could get away with a lot because of his superb on-the-court play. The Rockets will have no problem trading his arse is they sniff a big potential problem.
Just stop with this Yao crying. He ain't coming back soon and even if he comes next year, nobody knows what kind of playing he will have.
