It was nothing. Howard sort of fell on Brooks, Brooks got mad and grabbed his shoe then stood up and had something to say. Howard just walked away.
I personally think the brainless genius needs to retire. It's time. For one, the adjustments take too long to happen, and second, his offensive schemes rarely creates easy offense for our players. He's 63 years old, this is generally when mental decline is taking place.
No big deal.Howard kicked toward the opposite direction,AB overreacted, maybe out of frustration, which is understandable.Rockets down big, time ran out, AB just had another TO.
Its a really sad thing to see such a talented team's potential go to waste because the coach is incompetent. Who cares about some fancy schmancy system. You need to take care of the basics first, or your fancy system is meaningless.
PUT TMAC IN THE GAME!!!! the rockets were down 1 then ariza missed like 4 straight shots and we are down 11 coach is obsessed with sticking to mcgradys 8 minutes of play
Looking up and down the Magic's roster you realize how stacked they are. Howard, Lewis, Carter, Nelson, Pietrus as a starting 5. That's insane good. Then they bring Gortat, Barnes, Reddick, and Anderson off their bench. If they manage to gel a little better then I'd take them as favorites over the Boston in the East.
There were times when it seemed like we could both play them and take them. Our D looked good, really good at times. On occasion our offense did well; really our offense was ok for the most part, it was just making those <expletive deleted> bric...I mean, baskets. There were some times, such as in the third quarter, that it seemed like our team couldn't buy a basket in an Easter store. To add insult to injury, the Magic seemed to do well on most of their threes <grinds teeth>.
not sure how dwight wasnt called a foul on that play. iirc brooks lost the ball when dwight landed on him.
Read the LA Clipper's Article from our win yesterday. It will tell you what Adelman's offense does for this team.
You don't TRAIN to have high basketball IQ, its a product of coaching and your own mental capacities. Stromile Swift is a gym rat, and Dorsey worked his butt off in camp yet they still have bball IQs of r****ds. What do mean that's the way it goes? If the starters aren't doing their job then its the coach's job to fix it. We have JT, Tmac and even Mike Harris in the rotation. You telling me Ariza going 1-10, 0-4 from 3's is better than seeing if any of those guys could produce anything? It's the same thing with Pops again, what's the point of signing Harris if he's gonna stay on the bench? There's no point in having a deep team if the coach doesn't know how to sub players properly. Let's just sign a power starting 5 then have amateurs as their backups then. I'm just a random poster with mediocre basketball knowledge, but even I would have done a better job allocating minutes in this game.
wow this is sad...people are doggin him so bad? yeah i agree he messed up tonight but he is a great coach and freakin guarantee you that we wouldnt be 17-12 with JVG at the helm.
There are times against less superior teams where we can survive on one-on-one basketball, however, against a more talented team like the the Magic, that one-on-one facet needs to be supplemented by curls, and hard screens being set, which can make the game easier for the players when facing a more stifling defense.
LOL. do you think beating a low-rent team like the LA Clippers is something to brag about? lol. some of you people have pathetic standards. Rick's 'system' is only good for beating mediocre teams. But is practically worthless against the better teams.
Adelman does this pretty regularly, with mixed but often ultimately positive results. Often a player does poorly but is allowed to stay in the game to have a chance to regain confidence in himself. Unfortunately, that redemption is slow in coming at times, if it comes at all. I suppose I'm mostly in favor of his doing this, as in the long run it appears to create trust from the players in their coach, that they're allowed to make mistakes or have off nights. Trust in his fairness if nothing else. I do question his seeming over-reliance on Ariza, as at this point he's really bricking most shots (game before last being the exception).
