u need to take off ur homer glasses. we ARE NOT better than the magic. however, we beat better teams by playing harder than them, which we didnt do tonight.

Gah. Adelman doesn't have the competence to coach at the high school level. I can't believe he is in the NBA. He is single-handedly destroying the potential of this team.

I was flamed for saying that Ariza is regressing, and what do you know, look at the GARM now. What was he thinking?? Shooting an abysmal 10% from the floor, ariza jacks up 7 shots in a row in our 6 minute scoring drought of the 3rd quarter. Just when the rockets seemed to be making a run in the 4th with 4:30 left to go, having to pitch a shutout to even have a chance of winning, Ariza, knowing we are in the penalty, jumps on carter, orlando's best free throw shooter, and holds on to him like a baby on candy. Andersen, with 0 points, and two fouls on Howard in the same possession. Jermaine Taylor and his rebound. I am speechless. The referees didn't help either, but at least they are admitting they are horrible pieces of ****.
    Rick- There was no contact!!
Ref- There doesn't have to be.
Landry has taken up his role as the go-to guy, scoring 12 points in the 4th quarter. Overall it was too little too late. As I've said before, 3rd quarter droughts are killing us.

    wtf?!!!

why does some dumb ass always have to bring race into the discussion. Seriously...do you know for a fact that he comes from China. immature idiot.

Anyway...i don't really feel bad. We were on the wrong end of a back to back and lost to a team with far superior talent.

Bullard said it just now. Consider cutting down Trevor's minutes and start giving Tmac some more. I have no problem kicking McGrady's minutes up to 15 a game or so.

Adelman is a genius, don't fool yourself, this team is nothing without his system...

just I can't figure out why he is so brainless at times. When something so obvious is going wrong he refuses to fix it. When we had the lead down to two points he should have taken ariza out.

His substitutions are frustrating....he did this last season too.

Weird how people are telling a guy who took the FIFTH most shots in a game that his shooting cost us the game.

Anyway, this team is dead tired from all the back-to-backs, facing one of the best teams in the league. No reason to even bother counting this game as winnable. Just be glad we hung in there for a while.

Adelman isn't gonna be running behind their backs, coaching them through every 24 hour possession. They are trained to be high BB IQ players. They should know this already without him having to baby them. The players KNOW that Landry is the focus of the defense. The magic did a good job of defense on him with Howard. Its not Adelman's fault that when the rockets couldn't get the ball to Landry that Ariza jacked up stupid shots.

RA did replace Ariza with JT. You saw Ariza walking off the court and not giving JT a high-five. He was pissed that he was taken out.

Our bench played the entire 2nd quarter. You want to put them in the 3rd quarter again so they can get injured like Budinger? Those guys need rest too.

No. You put in your starters so they can do their job. Unfortunately, they couldn't hack it. Thats the way it goes.

EDIT: The players KNOW that Landry is the focus of the offense.

    Howard/Brooks Scuffle

I missed it but I heard about some sort of fight our something between Dwight Howard and Aaron Brooks...which I can't seem to imagine b.c it would be like a mouse vs a hippo

    Could someone upload a vid?

I'm fine with Adelman most of the time. What was the deal with staying with Ariza? WTF?

that was my thought this evening too. Our guys have done so well, fought so hard and managed to look so good when they shouldn't have, that I'd temporarily forgotten what dominant force Yao could be, or at times how much we need him. :(

We lost to arguably the 3rd best team in the NBA.

Could it have been closer? Yes.

Were we outclassed? Yes as well

We'd lose this game with or without Ariza. Our entire starting lineup is just outmatched by Orlando's starting lineup, on both ends.

When Brooks was hitting everything in 1st quarter and we still down by double digits, you know it's gonna be a long night.

Just a rough schedule catching up to them. That fatigue and frustration was evident when AB got that tech.

I don't think Ariza really needs his minutes cut, he just needs to take it to the rack and stop settling for long jumpers. He's open for a reason.

This is not Ariza's thing... He cannot create plays nor can he dribble the freak'n ball. He's a role playing spot shooter, a good one. Someone has to create for him or he'll just botch it up like tonight... We got dominated by their size. Oh man, where's Yao at? :(

We're as good as the magic. If we had budinger in there, and if this WASN'T the 2nd of a back to back on a grueling schedule, this game would be a totally different story.
