i prefer he stays in low post, if they feed him the ball that is instead of winding down the clock and then random chucking
What sucks is that Phil Jackson said he was going to start resting his players and Denver and other playoff teams are going to catch LA at home with Kobe on the bench
The time rested and time to practice game RA time to screw the offense even more. I thought the time off and practice would have help the team but no way. Yao should go to RA and tell him that he should be in post when he is in the game and when he gets to rest RA can have the second unit run all the high post offense he wants. **Simple actually Yao in the game go to the post game with the best center. **Yao out of the game go to the high post/princenton offense.
terrible coaching tonite. Adelman ..bad time management. Why did he play so much Barry and brooks. Why was Yao sitting in the end? He should have rested him early in fourth. If Artest is forcing shots....bench him. You the coach. Rockets are overachieving good team...but just not in same league as Lakers. Fortunately, they can compete against everyone else in the West. Rockets may even beat Jazz or Spurs..just maybe..but ultimately, no way can beat Lakers in 7 game series.
............ We really need a Best Kneejerk Award for this board. That said, the Rockets didn't get the ball to the Chinese guy in the center, and that's why they lost. This was definitely a much better loss than that Suns loss, because we played very good defense for the most part, though their offense was rather bleh.
My first post: Yao taking 12 shots tonight was a disgrace, Ron Artest lately has been ignoring Yao more and more. Kobe in this game took just 11 shots, but scored 20 points and dished out 7 assists. Artest on the other hand took 19 shots and had same # of assists as Yao with 5 TOs. Something is going on here, Yao must've done something to piss Artest off.

You rookie can dream about an upgrade. Artest can't pass like T-Mac, Artest can't create like T-Mac, Artest can't control his temper like T-Mac... only thing he can do is bulldoze people. He should go to Israel and work for the IDF. Probably save their economy.
If they don't have the IQ to create then they can't create.Yao needs a D=will or another elite point guard not a T-mac but another guy on his level to help keep the defense from just loading up on him. Just think if Yao had a guy like D-will. Yao would be unstoppable because they wouldn't be able to zone up on him. They had 3 and 4 guys on Yao the whole game.
Many players mentioned in the media about JVG's game plan; the guy often started the game day from 5am or earlier and had every game well prepared. Rick Adelman? I don't think he even bother to read the scouting reports. Someone mentioned in the past that the assistant coaches take turns for game plans.
Kobe shot no contested Js down the stretch and elevated his game in the 4th,no answer. It's killing me deep down watching 'em play like that! We had chance to win and suddenly free throws won't gur free throws are still not that good compared to the last year and at the crucial moment it's gon' cost us the game night in and night out. Yao seems upset when he's on the bench along with Shane, talkin' something.anyways,no excuse fo' the first sweep by the Fakers since 2001-02,and when will Carl 'Monster' Landry come back in the lineups?
Artest is a stat-padder, pure and simple. He is not playing within the team; he just wants to get a large contract. Selfish.
I hate to say this but the Rockets need Alston to get anywhere in the playoffs. AB and Lowry are just too inexperienced. Moreover, Artest and his penchant for not passing to Yao, and jacking up ill advised shots will kill the Rockets in the playoffs. With these problems the Rockets will be lucky to get past the first round-AGAIN!
