Sadly our run has come to an end. But, all else, thanks to the Rockets for putting up a great 2009 season in monumental strides. I tip my hats to you all. And to fellow Clutchfans as well. Offseason is near, now let's build on this great team. Spoiler Oops, time to change my sig now.
I feel really proud of this team.....no one thought we were going to make this into a seven game series. All i can say is WELL DONE ROCKS. Also did anyone else see on the NBA website that they called the rockets PESKY??!!!! thay made me furious for some reason
This is the best team since the championship year. This team is special and I am so pround of them. We will sweep the Fakers next year. Have a good summer guys and see you guys next year.
We have a great season. I love our team, our guys, we did our best, we showed our heart and attitude to everyone, we get respect. next year we will be better. Have a good summer.
Agreed dragonwill, however statement 3 hinges on health and I for one am sick of hearing, next year, when we're healthy. I truly believe our role players are better than any other teams that was playing in the semis. Game 7 started out with a tempo that favored the Lakers, yet our defense managed to allow us to get back in it but we couldn't make a shot. The Lakers did not play a good game as the media is trying to sell. They only scored 89 points. Besides not making shots, being outrebounded was major. On Saturday while watching NBA Fastbreak, I thought Jackson was being arrogant when he answered a question with it depends on what Houston team shows up. I thought he was being arrogant as usual but he was right. If we would have just made a few more buckets, we'd be in the WCF. Overall, I'm still proud of this team.
You guys deserve that and more even though u were missing some great players you just didnt backoff that shows pure heart and determination, I have no doubt in mind as many laker fans that the rockets might be the favorites next season
I was disappointed with the Game 7 result but never with our team. We achieved through adversity. We need to recover, reload and go all the way next season.
While I'm happy with what we were able to do this season, I'm not happy with that game 7 at all because we failed to compete. This was supposed to be a game 7 where anything can happen. I didn't expect us to come out and roll over so easily. And, it appeared LA out-gameplanned us from the opening tip because they took advantage of us having Hayes on the floor on offense from the start...and Adelman didn't do anything to counter it until 7 or 8 minutes had passed and we were in a big hole already. We made the offense play 4 on 5 basically at the beginning of the game. We couldn't even get a decent shot off during that time. But, I guess we have excuses for why we didn't come to play. I understand we are just supposed to accept our consolation prize of "we did this without Yao, Deke, and Tmac" and be content. I just thought we were better than what we did in game 7. So, I'm disappointed.
I set the alarm to 3:30(China time), got up quite early in the morning. Felt quite nervous when I found the Rockets guys missed so many shoots in the 1st quarter. I feel inauspicious. This is not a tied-up game, but we guys did terrificly well in defence. I expect 50% from Rockets term, but give 100% support to them. Well-done, teach LA a lesson. We are not a piece of cake.
This post-season ought to prove one thing at least: the Rox will do just fine if RA rests Yao a whole lot more so he will last through the playoffs. Even without a single off-season change (okay, maybe a back-up center would be nice), these guys can win. If they figure out how to consistently get the ball to a healthy Yao, they could be unstoppable. Great season, Rockets!
Actually this is the shortest offseason the rockets have had in 12 years, but it will feel long to me too cuz im still so hyped about next season!!!! Loved this last season and our squad!! GO ROCKETS!!!
