With this current roster, the group on the floor to close the game must include Lowry and Landry. The rest should depend on matchups and performance. Even if the other team is only playing one small guard, Lowry still needs to be in there given our other options.

    Closing 5:

    Lowry
    Landry
    ?
    ?
    ?

? = whoever is playing well

The first two are our most consistent finishers. They should always be in there down the stretch unless they're unavailable for any reason.

Brooks played 38 minutes going 7-16 and got 3 assists, 3 steals, 3 rebounds and 5 turnovers. Sounds like a SG to me.

OUr lack of front court depth really hurt us at the end of the game. Scola was GASSED and Rick had to leave him in because he didn't trust Chuck or DA at that stage of the game

What are you talking about? He kept Kobe to 22 points with 9 from 23 shooting. His offence was nonexistant however.

Kobe had 22 points on 23 shots, 3 assists and 4 turnovers.
Artest had 7 points on 11 shots, 0 assists and 4 turnovers.

The better question is, did you watch Battier play?

    My observations:-
    a) We play with great guts, heart and determination.
    b) We are not quite as good as the Lakers.
    c) Without Yao in games like this we are limited!
    d) Battier and his intangibles are becoming less observable
    as the seasons roll by!
    e) Lowery should have been in the game towards the end of 4th qtr.
    f) Budinger is not quite ready yet! He will be in a game or two. :p

Artest wasn't even out there to finish if I recall correctly.

They either had Farmar and Brown or Fisher and Vujacic out there late.

There may have been a brief period of only one small guard but Lowry was on the bench while both of those aforementioned combinations were on the court.

    It didn't make sense.

Yeah, Kobe was only shooting 9/23 with 4 TOs.... he absolutely had a monster game in your mind.

WTF... stop bashing battier without any legit reasons.

Don't forget Battier scored 6pts in a row in 4th Q to bring the Rockets as close as 2 pts at one time.

Oh wait... you never watched the game....

I am amazed that people think we should of won this game, against the best team in the league, at home and with the best player in the league.

The game was close. If we hit the FT's, shot a little less 3's. We might have won.

I am impressed we kept the game close and we kept the lakers from scoring over 90 pts.

If anything this tells me, not many teams want to matchup with us in the playoffs because we don't give up.

Could of, should of, bottomline is the Rockets kept it close and had chances to win.

When ariza was on him he PASSED. When battier was on him he was starting to pull down his pants for his daily ****. Did you see his offense? You must not play ball if you think he is average.

cant complain, most difficult schedule so far, i think we would have been happy to be .500, but now we're getting a bit spoiled...only means it gets easier for the rest of the season.

Bynum was just too tall for us tonight. Suggestion to David Andersen: when shooting the three-ball, aim for the back of the rim. You're remarkably centerline, and that's great, but you're just a couple inches short.

IMO, it's simple. Coach made his decision that AB is the go-to-guy. I agree that Lowry should be in at the end.

This current team as construct will not overachieve when it counts, the playoffs. Live by the 3 die by the 3. Listening to Battier's post-game interview shows that there still isn't a go-to-player on this team. If it's Landry then what happened? Brooks ain't it no matter what coach is sellin'.
