I could have accepted a blow out tonight and moved on but games like these are horrible teases. It brings hope and absolute frustration at the same time because we are close to being able to compete with the big boys but the missing pieces are probably the hardest to acquire.

Everyone outside of chuck, scola and Kmart shot pretty poorly. I think someone earlier mentioned tunnel vision.......

and Lowry tonight? where is the blame on the starting point guard?

AB outperformed lowry in every category

weren't Brooks three pointers the reason we went to overtime?

22 more days to go. Morey needs to get some help for the team.

Brooks, Hill, Bud, JJ, Yao, TE(Ariza's), 1st round picks should get the team some great help. I can't wait.

He was just standing in the corner with Kobe on him. It's tough to get him the ball when he's doing that. I don't know if you can re-watch the game but if you can just look at OT and you will see he was just sitting in the corner with Kobe draped over him. He didn't even try to get open. I hope Adleman didn't design those type of plays in OT but you can't blame Lowry or Brooks for Martin not moving around on offense in OT.

He's shooting 30% from the 3 point line this year. He takes a number of ill-advised 3 pointers every game.

Ish or TW could've done wonders for this game. They are natural playmakers that would complement our stellar shooters AB,Martin and Scola. Lowry just giving it to Ab to go to work isnt playmaking, or giving it to scola or martin. I see why we havent been winning games. You can't have Lowry, Hayes, and Battier together playing period

I didn't see the game, but if what your saying is true then Martin is partially to blame....in fact he should shoulder most of the blame based on what he said earlier this season.

In an article that came out around training camp time, Martin was quoted as saying that Yao would have an "all-star 2 guard" again like he did when you-know-who was here.

Well, all-stars DEMAND the ball when the game is on the line. They don't let teammates not pass the ball to them. Do you think Kobe would let Steve Blake cast away when the game is on the line w/o touching the ball? No way. Kobe would DEMAND that ball and cuss Blake out if he didn't pass it.

Martin has to be the same way with Brooks (or anybody else for that matter) if he wants to be considered an all-star. All-stars can't be passive when the game is on the line....no sitting in Battier's coffin corner. GO to the ball. Call out defensive rotations, do something!

Yeah, that and probably he didn't get that fat contract like Lowry.

why would you shoot a 3 with about 34 sec. left and why did brooks shoot a lot in overtime and not kmart when he only had one shot in overtime.

dude we were supposed to have yao. So now that we are not elite we just trade away a player because he deserves better?

Don't you think your girlfriend deserves better? You should let me get on her since she wasting her prime with you. She deserves a champion. How ridiculous does that sound?

Then Martin is indeed scared to get the ball. With Scola, Martin, Brooks, Hayes, and Lowry on the floor, he should be the last person to take any shots in OT. Thats a pretty bad job the the rockets offense or really good defense by the lakers. Im not blaming this on Lowry entirely, but his 3-11 shooting doesnt really help.
