Ah the old Mythical closer statement again.

I guess we could have used Blake and Brown closing for our team last night.

No crap, and Budinger played very nice defense last night, and this guy goes on and on about Buds lack of lateral quickness.

He sure shut down Ron when he had to guard him....and played excellent D on Kobe when he was matched up.

You've got to be kidding if you don't see the enormous potential of this team.

No, he can do plenty wrong.

You just need to post your thoughts in the proper thread, because that way they will be buried and ignored, like they should be.

BTW, anyone else notice Lee and Martin on the floor at the same time?

I can't believe you took the time to write all that up considering this team isn't even exciting enough to watch. Bravo for sitting through that painfully, boring game of basketball. I don't know how you did it, but I definitely respect you for the sacrifice.

Well according to you, Mr. Proposterous basketball analyzer guy, not very well or not very exciting because we lost out on Mr. Dribble off his shoe Ariza.

Here is to you Mr. W22:

Shannon Brown will NEVER shoot that good again, Blake also, and Scola will never miss that many lay ups. He's usually the one to make the toughest layups. Considerting those, i think we outplayed the lakers all the way up until about 5 min. left in the game.

Take out those...irregularities  and I think that we have a serious contender.

You do realize how Blake got so open right?

In fact, you do realize Gasol and Bryant were demanding all the attention from our team right?

A closer finishes a game in a variety of way. My last reliable closer was McGrady, and do you remember how many times he created wide open game winning shots for our teammates?

We need a closer to draw attention and double teams. Can you imagine Budinger, or Brooks, or Kevin Martin or Scola wide open? If we had the McGrady two years ago, these guys will be having a field day on the court.

Not to mention, STEVE BLAKE AND SHANNON BROWN beat us. How could we even doubt Lowry's worth to this team? If Lowry was there there is no way in hell Steve Blake will even get a wide open shot from anywhere.

MY thoughts.... if Kevin didn't have that silly foul on kobe plus the technical, he could have stayed in the game longer and we could have won the game. I really hate the new rules on technical fouls I think the game is going to s%^t because of david stern and I am considering not really watching anymore....

I am trying to figure out if you are just dumb or stupid?

I have already said if we had Lowry in this game we win by 15...I don't doubt him, I know his role is valuable, he is a very important piece to the team and the 2nd unit needs him desperately.

As for the mythical closer bit, Kobe was passing to Gasol, it was a bad pass, that went to Blake.....

Either way, he made the shot, but if the Rockets made all their layups tonight they still win by 10+.......

I am not worried at all about a mythical closer...this was a game where they made their shots, we did not....and it was not their mythical closer Kobe who made the shots either......was it?

Blake has shot around 40% from the 3 pt line for the past 3 seasons. Making those shots wasn't surprising. What was surprising was the fact that Brooks left him wide open.

I agree with you there, especially that last shot, but I believe Blake hit 2 of them when Brooks was resting and Lee was on him.

C'mon W22! It appears Battier and RonRon are having maybe a little too much "fun" since Ariza left.

Hill is the 3rd/2nd string center. He'll get plenty of minutes when Yao has the night off.

Jeffries would have been a better defensive matchup on Odom.
