Yeah, it seemed like the calls were pretty fair. Except for the ridiculous tech on Martin, but I guess they're still figuring that rule out.
Those were the exact things I was screaming at the TV Lets hope Lowry can be back for the home opener!
This is true...that last call was a reversal of a call which is almost never done without 100% proof. Even with all the replays, it was either Brooks, Odom and Battier that may have touched it. So usually, refs would not overturn that somewhat call but they did for the Rox benefit and gave them the ball.
Good lord some of you are really dramatic. It was the first game for this team, and they played hard and took the champs down to the wire on the road. I am stoked as hell for this season. This team looks flat out dynamic and dangerous....especially when Miller, Budinger, and Lee are going against second teams. Martin and Brooks are FAST. I saw a whole lot of promise for this season, and when our big fella gets back into the groove, I think we are going to be in for quite a season.
the game was clean though. None of the calls were questionable head scratchers. This game wasnt. Anyhow people are right. Battier isnt that good. Adelman got outcoached during the fourth quarter once again. We do need a go to player in the fourth quarter with leads.
Of course you're going to say that, you're a fan of the Rockets. That game was far from clean if you saw the Lebron James charge on Paul Pierce that was called a blocking foul.
some old story happened, that being said, rockets are looking better. Great news for us, it looks like yao can surely play more 24 mins, his move is better than anyone could see coming.
Why so many defenders at every turn though? We dont need to apologize for refs when losing. Do we have people here who work for the Rockets organization or NBA calming the fans on the refs? Its perfectly fine to say something about players who arent good or calls that changed the game like Yao fouling out. Thats what fans do.
I still can't believe Rox lost to Shannon Frickin' Brown. Seriously, "Shannon Brown" That's what pissed me off the most this game.
I was amazed at how long it took the officials to see that Odom knocked the ball out of bounds. I read his lips during the break and he was laughing about it and said, "It was me." I guess Brown asked him who hit it out of bounds. Anyways, I don't mind the delay that much during a regular season game. Come playoff time that could effect the outcome of the game. Players tighten up, and the longer they think about taking the shot the more worried they become. I feel sorry for the Warriors tomorrow.
1) Good effort - Nice to have Yao back 2) Kevin Martin can possibly have a banner year 3) Please move Battier by the trade deadline 4) Please put Hill ahead of Hayes in the rotation
So that call towards the end when Odom fouled Miller and fell over him, how come he didn't get a tech like Martin did? He did what Martin did X 2.
Dude Shannon Brown is a decent player, espcially when left all alone which they Rockets managed to do more than once! We need to step up it up on D and make 1 small rotation change.
You can tell me what to do but expect a reaction since you are directly addressing me. i am not a push over to tell leave from a place. Thats how people react when others tell them to leave. I am a fan who wants results. You dont?
Who gave instructions to run a pick n roll with Brooks and Hayes.? The results were disastrous, as expected.
I'd say it's perfectly fine for people not to assume that they know better than a lifetime pro basketball coach, or that the NBA is willing to destroy its credibility by fixing games through its officials. That's what reasonable people don't do.
