    Mcgrady's 1/11 is pure skillz.

Trade that away and give us something that is related to basketball, thanks.

It is not wise that the coach team reduce Yao's practice time instead of playing time. Yao gets his hands cold due to insufficient training. The intensity of a NBA game is much higher than a routine practice, which more likely lead to an injury. So please, less playing time, more training for Yao. Yao needs that!!!!!!!!

Shocked .. I did not expect a blow out. The problem .. bricks throwing and I believed it's an old problem which is persisted for sometime back in the old days. But then we are also out rebounded, assisted, steal and blocked. Sounds like a the old "heart" problem. Perhaps our engine is still cold and sluggish in the early season (another old problem). We need a guy to initiate a jump start ..

Aaaaaa I just hate the day right after such a bad game. It just made my day.

People are pissed off and so am I. I hate reading those posts on forum and generally day is pretty much over and useless.

Rockets need to bounce back on wednesday because after games like that you don't wanna watch them anymore.

I agree. Height was a major factor in second-chance points and basic defense and rebounding. They have guys who have skills and height. We need a 6-9 or 10 to fill up the back up C position at least. Can we wait to sign Deke? I want Adelman to throw Dorsey in there and see what the wide-bodied guy can do; he can't do worse than what we saw in the 2nd half last night.

What I don't understand is this:

T-Mac gets paid 20 times as much as AB.
AB scores nearly 7 times as many points as T-Mac while playing 7 minutes less than him.

Just seeing how our country is in an economic crisis and all... :p

Battier and Brooks would be a much better fit in the starting lineup for the Rockest with Artest and Rafer going to the bench.

With Battier and Brooks, teams can't just front and double Yao all the time without paying the price. Scola can hit the top of the key and baseline jumpers and Tmac will have room to operate as well. Aaron Brooks could also run a high pick and roll with Yao, and I know for a fact no center could ever keep up with Brooks going full speed off of a pick.

I think the spacing is the biggest problem with the Rockets. Yesterday, the Lakers were just daring us to shoot 3's. Our 3 point shooters aren't that good outside of Brooks, Barry, and Head, and all of them are in the 2nd unit. If Yao has room to operate, he's MUCH better at making his move and deciding quickly what he wants to do. Right now, he's too worried about double teams and has a fear of turning the ball over or passing it to Rafer for a 3 (almost like a TO).

Artest will have room to operate and Rafer can run RA's offense better with Barry, Landry, Hayes, Artest and occasionally Head. He will bring stability to our 2nd unit and limit their turnovers.

Don't feel bad for Lakers fans - I'm sure most of the true fans weren't even allowed in the building.

...is it sad that I'm happy that this game wasn't nationally televised? That was embarrassing.

I'm sad because I live out West where LA games are televised and I actually watched it until it got seriously ugly (wait, that was at the beginning of the 2nd quarter...grrr!).

I can't believe we actually outplayed them in the 1st and part of the 2nd quarter. I thought then...wow, this is great, this is how the Rockets should play. But then it got surreal because it wasn't real...OMFG, WTFO?!!

Scola has to learn to take it strong to the basket (watch Landry tapes). Artest and Tmac both drink the "what do I do with this ball?" koolaid.
There was lots of ball stoppage on our offense.
We're a talent-loaded team with no understanding of their roles or places to be.
There wasn't any fire or passion that I could see in our team.

It's early, I know, but be professional and get with the program, you millionaire athletes!!!

I don't think Brooks is the answer as a starter. He's too small to get big minutes as a starter guarding the likes of Billups, Deron Williams, Kidd, Chris Paul, Baron Davis, Parker and Nash. At least Parker and Nash aren't the post up kind of guys, but the rest of the guys on that list would punish Brooks far more than what Brooks could bring to the Rockets offensively.

It might be a different story if Brooks could create shots for his teammates, but so far I haven't necessarily seen him draw the defense in and find his teammates for easy shots like what good PGs do. Right now he's a reliable shooter and a decent one on one player but that's about it. The kids got heart so I hope he continues to grow, but I don't think he is ready to the starter just yet.

In fact, last night, our beloved 2nd unit was outplayed by the lakers' 2nd unit! We lost in the 2nd and 4th quarter! Without doubt, the lakers have deepest bench in the league.
